day one at home after surgery
Thank you for the update. I have my surgery next week and your update is making me feel very optimistic.

Help please i dont know what to do anymore. Does anyone else has this problem?
If one therapist didn't work for you try another. There are many out there and you have to find the one that works for you. I have a fabulous Social Worker (T) and I'm not ashamed to tell anyone. My T has helped me tremendously and will continue after I have my surgery. Please seek the help. Do it for your health.

Entering my surgeon's name
Why won't this site let me save my surgeon's name under the profile? He's listed as one of the surgeon's on the site. Is there a step I'm missing?

June 12 will be my day
I haven't thought of doing a video blog. I'll have to look into it. I really don't want to put this out on facebook because I'm not telling everyone about the surgery. I have some people (especially people I work with) who may be very negative. I don't need that kind of toxic in my process. Facebook is too public for me.

June 12 will be my day
Yahoo! We have a June 12th support group on the East coast. Jess, like you I've been trying new recipes and new foods. Even food I never liked before I now like. I will hopefully start my blog this week and keep you all posted on how everything is going. Keep me posted on your journey, too. Have a wonderful Day!!!....

Drains?
Thank you for some insight. I see the doctor tomorrow and that will be one of my top questions. I really don't want to go home with one. June 12th at 9:00 am is my big day and I'm so excited.

Drains?
Can anyone give me any insight on the drain that some doctors use? That's the only thing that is scaring me. Will I have to empty it? Was it uncomfortable?

June 12 will be my day
Hi Jess! Good luck with everything. You and I have the same surgery date and on the same day of the Liquid Diet. I'm so excited and so ready for this new change. We are both on the Eastern coast, too. I've been told we will be able to eat out again but will be making healthier choices and eating much smaller portions. We will have to share our stories after the surgery. Good luck and enjoy the new you.

Words of wisdom to new sleevers

Telling other people
You don't need to tell people. If they ask how you are losing the weight just tell them you are making Lifestyle changes for better health. I'm only planning on telling people I know who will support me in my decision.

The inches are melting away!

4 months out.. & so stressed
I haven't had my sleeve yet but have you tried changing up your exercise routine. You may want to even change up the food you are eating and try new things. Sometimes our bodies get use to the same old thing so we need to shock it with a change. Just a suggestion. I got this from my trainer at the gym.

Excited! :D :D
That's awesome! I'm still going through all the steps before I can get a surgery date. Right now I'm in a 4 week Health & Wellness program. When we are done with this then we can schedule our surgery. Good luck at your doctor's appointment!

Blow Is Just an Expression - CPAP and Sterilized Water
I find out next week whether I need one or not. I'm not looking forward to sleeping with that noise and a mask on my face. Thank you for the explaining the difference in the water. I never thought of that.
