  9. I went shopping this weekend and decided to see what the Loft has available. I have never been able to buy anything in that store because they only go up to a size 16. Well guess what? I finally fit into their clothes. I bought a dress for work (size Large) and a sweater jacket ( size Large). Yahoo!!!!
  10. Robin, I just sent you a message. Are you still doing the facebook for June sleevers? I would love to join in.
  11. Good Luck on your surgery and your new journey to a better and healthier life!!!
  12. I just friend you on MFP. It works for me.
  13. I slept on my side the night of the surgery. I was very comfortable as long as I had a pillow at my stomach. Five days later I went to the beach and laid on my stomach in the sand. I had to dig a hole for my stomach so it was comfortable (just like when I was pregnant). I was so active right away and didn't feel any pain. I'm not sure why but I guess I was lucky.
  14. All the men turning their heads to see your gorgeous new body.
  15. Congratulations! You should be so proud of this accomplishment . You are awesome!
  16. Dr. Benedetto's program recommends Carnation Instant milk shakes. Before surgery you can have the regular one but after surgery you have to do the sugar-free. They do not recommend the ones that are already mixed in the bottles because they do not contain as much protein. Also you must use Simple Smart milk because that contains more protein than other milks. I don't notice the difference. Also I had a hard time finding sugar-free vanilla Instant Carnation milk so I order through Amazon.com. Good Luck.
  17. You will do fine. The first three days are the roughest on the diet but after that you won't even want food. That's how I was and I thought it was going to be rough too. You can have one greek yogurt a day, one fruit, and juice. If you space things out you will find yourself actually full. The day of the surgery the anesthesiologists will talk with you. They asked me if I wanted some pain killer which I was later told it was a block. It lasted for 12 hours and I felt wonderful. In order for you to have it you must sign the approval before surgery. They gave it to me in recovery. I remember them doing it and I remember asking them question but I don't remember anything else down in recovery.
  18. Yes I have lost weight and I'm very happy I had the gastric sleeve. I think the program at NSMC is fantastic and I'm so happy I chose to go with them.
  19. eat Tater Tots from our company cafe!!! I'm 5 week post-op and I had an urge for something crunchy. I was down the cafe getting my 1 oz of scramble egg when three Tater tots jumped onto my plate. Yes, I ate all three and now my stomach is so ANGRY with me. I will never again try them or any fried foods again, They don't even taste good. Another Lesson to learn and of course I learn the hard way.
  20. I would try it. What harm can it cause. I'm at 5 weeks post-op and I'm trying everything. As long as I chew it 25-30 chews I have been okay. I love figs with goats cheese and fig pizza. I wish I could grow one up were I live. I've tried. Enjoy!
  21. I'm only 5 weeks post-op but when I did go out to eat a week ago I order soup/broth and a real chicken breast (not processed stuff) off the child's menu. As time goes on we should be able to order a lot of different stuff for lunch and dinner. Breakfast can be easy. Omelets (Yummy). Eating is a whole new thing to us all.
  22. You can friend me, too on myfitnesspal. I track all my food everyday. I'm: Needhelp27
