    Before and Now

Here is a photo of me last July, and now (surgery was July 5, 2013)
  2. So I am in this category. Sleeved July 5 day of surgery 244.6. Today 226.00. Started this journey at 278. I wanted it to just fall off but no dice. Oh well.

    Stalled

Well I think the stall is over. Keeping my fingers crossed. I dropped two pounds over the past 2 days. Lets see if it keeps up. Yeah!

    Stalled

Thank you fixerupper. Your words are so helpful. For you guys that want to be jerks, yes I've read the gazillion posts but as fixerupper said I needed some individual confirmation. If you don't like my post then don't reply and or go somewhere else. This is suppose to be a SUPPORT site.
  5. So I was sleeved on July 5. I have lost 16lbs and stopped loosing at week 3. Scale has been stuck for over 2 weeks. I've taken measurements and in the two weeks have only lost 4 1/2 inches total. Can't for the life of me figure out why I'm not loosing anymore.

    Help! Please...

Ok, so the day I moved to soft foods, I had a scrambled egg for Breakfast and it came right back up. My next meal stayed down. Your stomach hasnt had real food for a bit. So keep trying.
  7. So tonight I had 6 small garlic shrimp and 4 sweet potato Fries.(Oven Baked) Anyone else 3 weeks out eating shrimp?

    Rapid Fill

Thanks you guys. I just feel sick when I sit down to eat with my kids and I take three bites and feel like I hurting because I am so full. I appreciate the advice. Each phase of my diet is 10 days. So I am just starting the soft foods. I will be on that for 10 days.
  10. Ok, so you veterans of the Sleeve, please help. I am just a little bit concerned over how little food I can eat before I feel sick. I can eat 2 - 3 bites of just about anything and then Im feeling complete pain and pressure at the top of my stomach where the sternum is located. Does it get better? Will I ever be able to eat more than this? I am only 3 weeks post op and just started soft solids today. For lunch I ate some chicken and wound up throwing it up 20 minutes later because the pain and fullness was just too much to take. Will I ever be able to eat a child's size plate of food, or am I going to be eating 2 - 3 bites of food for the rest of my life? I ate two medium raviollis with meet in them for dinner tonight and was just stuffed. I know I want to eat less but 2 - 3 bites seems a bit ridiculous.
  11. Ok so I really like the new Organic baby foods, that come in a squeezable package. I had chicken and veggies stage 3 for dinner. I just added a little salt and pepper and it was relish. They have turkey, and some fruits, or fruit and veggie mix. Pretty good for an on the go meal or if you don't have time to make something.
  12. When I went to my 1 week check up the doc said I could swallow any pill I want, just if its bigger than a dime to cut it in half. So I have been doing that and things are good.
  13. I love love love water, but since I had my surgery I am having the hardest time drinking it. It hurts going down, and every time I get this massive pain in my mid stomach, below my sternum, and then I have to burp. It sucks, because I am drinking everything but water these days, and I know that I should be drinking water. Any suggestions from the veterans?

    July 2013 sleevers

I am eating all kinds of stuff. Chili of course smooshed really well. Cereal softened with milk, tuna and carrots, yogurt, mashed potatoes, oatmeal and smooshed bananas, Soup, string cheese, baby bell cheese wedges, pretty much anything that my sleevie will tolerate. I tried scrambled eggs but that did not agree with me. You just have to take it slow. I can tell when I start to get too full, because I will have major pain at the base of my sternum where the esophagus ends and sleevie begins. I am trying to learn when enough is enough and retrain my mind to know that.
