  2. Lifebacknye7, I was given a month's worth of Comadin. It's a blood thinner to help prevent the blood clots.
  3. My surgery was abt 2 hrs. I had a hiatal hernia repaired as well.
  4. Luvlvnlyfe5, just be careful. I was restricted from driving for a week. I'm post op 10 days. I did have any complications but ur body is still in the healing process. 10 days out and I still have trouble getting in and out of a car on the passengers side. I haven't driven yet. You will notice ur energy level will be different so just listen 2 your body. Life goes on but u want ur sweet babies and urself 2 be safe as well.
  5. I had my surgery on April 9- 9 days post op. I can't find a protein shake that I like. I'm glad to be on this site with ppl that understand my journey.
  6. Lburtie4, you are a beautiful lady. I'm happy that ur husband made advances towards you but I think we all need to remember that just because we were heavier ppl- we should still have a positive self esteem. We are still the same ppl just on a journey to be slimmer ppl. If you weight loss is going to help your marriage I say keep up the good work but remember marriage is supposed to be for better or worst. Don't loss sense of who. Hopefully you will have more and more nites of hot, steamy love making.
  7. Congrats I can see a big difference. Keep up the good work.
  8. Congrats. I look forward to these changes myself. I'm 9 days post op 15lbs down and I see bodily changes already.
  9. angel_23- I can relate. I had a terrible time with the full liquid because I hate broth, I was drinking water but water only works for so long. I hate the protein drinks. I ended up eating baby food because the water wasn't enough and I would get hungry. Realistically, the liquid is not going 2 work 4 every1. We didn't just have weight loss surgery because we are small meals prior 2 this. Our bodies are abt 2 change but our mind has 2 catch up with process. I'm not saying this is rite 4 u but this is what I did. I'm 8 days post op. 15lbs down.
  10. Congrats on ur upcoming surgery. I'm 8days post op I got my staples removed today. The 1st day or 2 may be a lil rough as u learn ur new stomach. Time ur pain meds so u r covered at all times, walk walk walk, and enjoy the new steps ur body is abt to begin. I learned that I had 2 kinds of pain. Gas from drinking 2 fast and slight gas if u don't drink ur fluids like u should. You will do great.
  11. Don't panic you will be fine as long as you don't eat after 12pm tonight. Good luck and happy weight loss.
  12. I haven't returned to work yet had my surgery on April 9th. My family knows and about 3 friends that I can trust. Other than that I'm not telling it's not their business and personally I don't want any1 giving me input how how and what I should be doing now that I've started my journey. I don't no abt u all but this weight loss has been a struggle for me for many years. I don't need any judgement or advice now.
  13. Sharonintx, I will try that 1 too. I'm spending so much $ on Proteins only to find that I don't like them. A lil frustrated. I will be better when I can eat some tuna.
  14. I'm new on here too. I'm 1 week post op 2day. Feeling great. My only struggle is the protein shakes. I hate them.
  15. I'm in the Columbia, SC area. I had my surgery 1 wool post op today. Doing great. Minimal pain. My only complaint so far is Protein shakes. I hate them.

  17. Hello every1 my name is Marisa and I had my surgery on April 9th. Tomorrow will be 7 days post-op. I did great with my surgery minimal pain. My problem is the protein shakes. I HATE them!!! I've tried several different ones and I hate them all. I'm lactose intolerant so the milky consistency is not helping. I'm drinking the lite Muscle Milk that doesn't contain any milk but even though that 1 is the best one Ive tried. I still hate it. I can't wait to eat Tuna. Any suggestions am I the only one that has this issue?
  18. Try Miralax it's clear and can be mixed with most liquids. No taste 2 me. I just had my 1st BM tonight. I had my surgery on April 9th so I was a lil concerned but my dr recommended.
