  1. Awsome post and pics. You must feel wonderful with your new life!
  2. Congrats on being below goal and your bucket list. Sorry I can't help you with your questions but chuckled when I saw the subject and thought ''a post about toddler diapers?'"
  3. It will be sooooooooooooo much better in 2 weeks!!!
  4. Also aleeved 5/15. I can't have any milk or juice for 1st 2 weeks. All Drs are different. I don't do the milk type shakes. I use Nectar Lemonade or another flavor. 23 g of protein in about 12 oz water with ice, shaken. I'm not getting 60g yet but dietitician called today and said that was normal at this stage.
  5. Sorry that happened to you! My Dr would not schedule surgery until ins was approved. Guess I thought they were all like that.
  6. Does your husband have any weight or health issues?
  7. Life's too short to not be happy
  8. 5 days out and my sips are getting bigger and more frequent with no problem.
  9. I'm 5 days out and my dietitician just called to check and see how I'm doing. I'm not getting all the protein in yet but she said that is pretty normal with alot of pts. It's increasing each day but has been 15-23 g/day. May hit 43 today if I'm lucky since liquids are going down much easier today.
  10. My PCP actually suggested it due to my diabetes, high bp, etc... They are very supportive.
  11. I have 2 bottles of Isopure in the frig. They were free but haven't been able to make myself open them yet. They say they are best really cold will stick with my nectar for a while:)
  12. A co-worker came was leaving work one day (changes to scrubs at work) and mentioned he didn't know where his wife picked them up but he really liked the jeans he found in the closet. Thought they were for him. We saw the LB on the label and said, yeah those are from Lane Bryant:) He still liked them!
  13. Sleeved 5/15 in Grand Haven by Dr Foote. Overall good experience. 5 days out and feeling better each day:) Can actual swallow larger sips today without a twinge after each swallow. Trying to wait til my 2 wk follow up to weigh in.
  14. Funny I was going to say if I was heading to stay with family it would be easier because you could nap when you want and lay low on days you wanted to. I'm 5 days out and that would have me going on vaca tomorrow if I were you. I had a relatively smooth surgery & recovery thus far. Don't think I'd be wanting to walk around an airport tomorrow. A road trip MAY work but I'm still taking a couple naps each day and probably would not be my most comfortable ride. PLUS get togethers with my family deal with lots of food even though most are eating healthier these days;) So I woudn't have to deal with that all right away. You may want to enjoy your 2 weeks with family and wait til July. It will be here before you know it and you will still have lost wieght for your Christmas vacation & be more accustomed to your new eating habits.
  15. What type of vacation are you going on? R &R laying by a pool or sightseeing, activities, on-the-go, etc...?
  16. Sleeved 5/15. It does get better each day! Came home 5pm day after surgery and pretty much slept on and off next day & 1/2. Still taking naps when I want but liquids are finally going down in larger sips without that twinge in my chest!! So Day 4 & 5 are much better for me:) Have not been on a scale yet since I was so bloated when I left the hospital and didn't want to see that dreadful gain.
  17. I'm very happy that my sips have become much bigger now with no problem. Not quite a gulp but a far cry from the 1st few days:)
  18. Priority Health here. Submitted on a Thurs. Approved on Monday. They said 7-10 business days.
  19. SF Jello is on my clear liquid list for 2 week pre & post-op so yes per my Dr guidelines.
  20. Not saying you should delete it but at the bottom of your post on the right there should be Report Edit MultiQuote Quote If you click on the Edit buttom I think it gives you an option to delete
  21. I used theirs. Wanted my clean jammies for when I got home! The 1st one they put me in was huge. Couldn't move at all. So they downsized me. I'm 5' tall and it was obviously made for a much taller person:) I did bring a robe for ass coverage while strolling the halls. Some say they used a 2nd gown as a robe.
  22. Have not had a problem swallowing pills but I do wait a bit if I have to take 2 at one time. Before surgery I was swallowing 9 pills a day for bp,diabetes,etc...plus 15 units of insulin. Of those 9 Dr sent me home from the hospital only taking 2 and 7 units of insulin!! Will re-evaluate at my 2 week appt.
  23. Did not have one
  24. WOW!! Congratulations on all your work:)
  25. Good for you! Day 4 out for me and it DOES get better each day:)
