  1. Texas. I know it's hot outside, but geez, I'm on a riding mower, I've done good with my Water, and I have on a big hat. But even with all that I got way over heated. I used to be able to do it just fine. I didn't even do the whole acre.... I couldn't. So my note to my idiot self: Don't go out when the heat index is this high, wait till winter to mow.....
  2. I'm in the Dallas area and it was Dr. Frenzel
  3. I had the sleeve but a very good friend had the revision by Dr. Frenzel....
  4. I was sleeved 6/7/13. I will be starting my 3rd month 8/7. Right before my surgery I was in a 20w pant and weighed 205. I'm short and pear shaped. Today I went and tried on pants and I got into a 16 misses and I now weigh 171. WoooHooo!!!!!! :0)
  5. Call your doc about the nausea. I was exhausted for quite a while. Questions: Are you getting enough Protein? and How are you able to get in sooooo many calories? :0) I struggle to get 500 cal. and I'm almost 2mo out... Good luck!
  6. I'm almost 2 months out. I just wanted to share what I've done in the last couple of days. I've been struggling to get in my Protein and make food for my family. One thing I have done is to make my barbecue chicken into shredded chicken by placing it into a food processor and shredding it. This way they can have the shredded chicken sandwich and I can enjoy some of it also. Then today I made sloppy joes with turkey. I took out a portion of the mixture for me and then added unflavored protein to it. This is really helpful since I am WAAAAAY behind in my protein today.
  7. You can also try tapering off on the caffeine.....
  8. How far out from surgery are ya?
  9. What Laura-ven said. I was threatened with going back to the hospital for dehydration. I drank all of my 6oz that day! I couldn't afford another hospital stay. Little sips ALL DAY LONG. :0). You can do it. Remember that having Protein will help you heal and liquid Protein is still a liquid. Good luck!
  10. Take a deep breath. For technical questions, ask your doctor. It is normal for anxiety before surgery. Please remember that ANY surgery carries riskes. I had lots of what ifs before I had surgery. I think many of us have been there. For me the pro out weighed the con. Good luck!
  11. Yup, that pretty much describes it. I go in for another one tomorrow. The only hard part is paying for it and waking up so freakin' early.
  12. I would change docs. My doc is very supportive and excited for me.
  13. Good luck! and Congrats!
  14. What always makes me 'hungry' is stomach acid. I HAVE to use a ppi so that I don't ruin my stomach again. The other good suggestions are warm meals. Oh, and make sure you are getting in enough Protein. :0) Good luck!
  15. At that stage I was still getting most of my protein in drinks. 7 weeks out I still use 1 protein drink a day to make sure I get enough.
