  1. It really is safer that way and you know that when your sugars are high you heal much slower..... I don't normally have high blood sugar and mine was very high after surgery. I have never had insulin and I had had 3 doses in the hospital till my body had a chill and quit producing too much sugar. How high would your numbers be if you START with high numbers..... I know it's hard, be patient.
  2. I'm in Texas..... It's June..... It's HOT ..... I'm making hot chocolate so I can put Protein in it and have something different. ARHG!

  5. I'm a teacher also. I was sleeved on June 7th. I cannot imagine going back to school after only 2 weeks. That would have been soooooo hard. I'm exhausted after walking very slowly for 30 minutes. I cannot imagine doing inclusion and running around like that. Have a wonderful summer.

  9. Oh my! I'm so sorry to hear this. Talk to your doc again. Ask if they have seen this before and what is going on. Ask for a wound specialist if you need to go that route. Good luck!
  10. I can not say thank you enough for posting this. I read it yesterday and it so prepared me for today! I think mine happened because I walked way to far today. A fart ain't always a fart! ugh! Thank heavens I was at home....... AND standing! It'll sneak up ya like a ninja......
  11. Funny how all docs are different. My doc wanted me to really concentrate on getting in the protein right from the get go. He was so adamant that he actually made me concentrate in my drug induced haze to repeat that my goal was 60 protein/ 60 liquid.
  12. Per doc , I was on clear 1 week, full on 2nd week.... reality= I was on full after a couple of days so I could get in my protein. I also eat a very little bit of greek low sugar yogurt to get my icky crushed meds down.
  13. Driving home is a big no, no. I couldn't even have a cab pick me up. I had to be released to someone. In was in for 2 days and honestly could have stayed longer. When I had a baby I was outta there less than 12 hours later........
  14. My Problem is that I don't like cream of ......... They just don't sound appealing.
