I would kindly tell him" honey, you have lost 80 pounds and I have lost 92, I think I know what I am doing, and my love, I feel your caring when you make comments about the carbs, but each one of us is different. I am not you and you are not me internally. My food needs are different than yours. Please it makes me feel ...(you fill in the words how it makes you feel). Please resist from making comments about my choices in food, I hear your concern and love, when you do it, but it is irritating me." Then if he doesnt stop you will have to escalate.your tone.Sometimes men are so about what they want to say they do not hear us women. Sorry guys but it is true.

LipstickLady, you always crack me up!!
I think the grass is always greener; my hubby not only isn't the food Nazi, he is an enabler of the highest order! If I asked him to go out and get me deep fried twinkies, the man would go in search of them even if he had to drive across three states! I love him for spoiling me, but in some cases it can actually be bad! I do wonder what it would be like if he were to say 'are you sure you want to eat that?'. I have NO accountability except my own, and that can be tough too.

I'd seriously tell him to suck it. If he did it again, I'd punch him in the junk.
I'm a grown woman and I make my own (sometimes bad) decisions. That would make me really mad and when someone tells me NOT to do something, I tend to do it. Twice. My husband has learned the hard way that his input is not only not necessary, but not welcomed unless I ask for it.

I take my measurements once a month and was excited to note that I've lost 60 inches in 4 months (I take neck, biceps, chest, waist, hips, thighs and calves). I have another 10 days until my 4-mo anniversary from surgery and I've lost 70 pounds so far (hopefully another 4 pounds down by then).
Have been a "consistent" loser so far, but not breaking any records...no real stalls... Took some pants in to be altered yesterday, and was really something to see how much she pinned on the sides and the seat/crotch (btw, that is just a word that sounds terrible).
The boobs are just now starting to deflate, still an F cup and look good in a bra, but holy geez, nekkid is an entirely different story.
Last two months I've been exercising 3x weekly...Started doing barre classes last week, and the bodies of the other class participants encourages me that my muscles could become more "eucalyptus" than "oak trunk" like I currently have :-)

Just dropping in to say hi:
I am 2 year and 4 months out. Have been at goal for 1 year and 9 months. Life is so great on this side. The weight has been off almost two years!
At this point I still have zero problem maintian my wieght, I am still not hungry ever!!!
    Some things that have changed.
I have found that food just doesn't hold interest for me much anymore. I can take it if leave it. A protien bar is as good as having sushi. I just dont care really. This is a good thing!!!! It took a while to get used to that. For a while it was a little sad ro me. But that passed also. Simple fact. "Nothing tastes as good as thin!" And a time does come where you really aren't controlled by food anymore. What a blessed time that is! Stay focused on your goals and all the new life you will have. It is worth far more than any food you will not eat.
The kids climbing into your lap in a reatraunt booth, riding all the roller coasters at six flaggs with them, kayaking with your sweet heart, running a race, wearing that sexy outfit on a dinner date, buying clothing at any store!!!!! Catching a stranger checking you out, and it isnt because they are afraid you might sit on them, all priceless. Best of all, extending your life!
Go suck the marrow outta life friends! Thats something we can eat our fill of :-)

I understand why you are asking, I am simply asking what logic there would be behind not doing as you are directed before undergoing major surgery. Looks like yours is right around the corner. Has your NUT/surgeon not given you directions yet?
    Edit to add:
It scares me for you that you are still smoking, too. Most doctors ask that you quit for at least 30 days pre-op.

Save the best bite for FIRST because it's highly unlikely I will get to eat it if I save it for last!
I "blame" a lot of my weight issues on my previous tendency to make big luscious meals, pile my plate high and then save the best bites for last, ensuring that I will clean my plate.
I've always done this, from my first PB&J (eat around the crust first, from the driest bottom side, all the way around the edge to the squishy under butt of the crust and then circling around to the fattest middle filled with squishy deliciousness), to a pan of brownies (eat all the gooey, slightly under baked middle first, saving the crispy edges for last). I had a method of gluttony for eating everything (green bean casserole, push most of the crispy onions to one side to be enjoyed in the last crunchy salty bite) and the last bite had to be eaten no matter how stuffed I was. After all, it was the best bite, right?
Never did I consider simply cutting off the crust, just eating the edge of the brownies or simply adding a few more onions to a smaller portion of casserole. My mom has always been skinny and her dieting motto was to always leave at least one bite of everything on your plate, two bites of your favorite thing. My skinny friends rarely finish their plates nor do they need to eye everyone else's plate for one delicious morsel.
It really feels good to eat my bites best to worst, because when I am done, I'm done! It's still habit to save the best for last, but it's one I'm breaking slowly now that I've missed out on it so many times.

Jen you were beautiful before, but even more beautiful now. Keep up the good work. I just did my surgery last Thursday and I'm down 18 lbs from surgery and plus 28 from the pre-op diet. I'm new to this app I don't know how to use it well.
