  1. Ok so I'm almost three weeks post-op...and the dreaded 3 week stall has come early... I knew it would, it happens to everyone... but my brain is programmed by 15 years of diets that if the scale is not moving, then I have done something wrong! How do we work on changing that mind set and seeing things from a new perspective?
  2. I use the unflavored powder from GNC and i use it in most of my Soups and cream of wheat. I couldn't tell it was there. I even put some in cheese Soup to put over mashed potatoes when I went to soft foods...it was yummm!
  3. will i ever be able to do this? it's killing me not to have liquids when i eat!
  4. So Funny that this subject came up today! I am 15 days post-op and wore jeans to work for the first time today.. I'll let you know how it goes;-)
  5. Hey Regina.. I am two weeks post op and I feel your pain!! I am luck though at two weeks I get to start including soft foods so I was able to have a little bit of salmon and scrambled eggs today.. they both went down very well. I'm just so afraid of overdoing it! Hang in there... when It gets really tough for me I sit and read posts here.. most of them are very inspirational. We can do this!!! I hope you can have a bite soon... my demon is the need for something crunch...ANYTHING! a crouton, a corn nut, a raw carrot for heavens sake..anything crunchy!

  9. I have been open with everyone through my entire journey and I have more support than I know what to do with! I think sometimes we née to give people a little more credit than we do, you may be surprised by the reactions of people if you up front! I believe obesity is a disease that needs to be cured like any other and I think we are all very brave for taking control of the situation! BE PROUD!
  10. I was sleeved on the 22nd also. My only pain now is still in my shoulder from the excess gas and it really hurts by the end of the day. I talked to my Doc about pain meds and she indicated that only 1 in 10 surgery's still need pain meds after the first week.
  11. The two things i am missing the most... when is it safe to start trying some low varb bread optios? and has anyone had trouble with raw veggies that I should look out for.. I am ob Soft foods now but trying to plan ahead!
