Irene-I am sorry that the gastric bypass fell through for you. But you know what? I am a believer in everything happens for a reason. And if it is any consolation, I know you are going to do GREAT! This is how my story has gone so far... highest weight around 325 Lost down to 163 on my own with diet & exercise (15 years ago) gained back up to 276 over the next 10 years went to 310 while pregnant (aug '03) Surgery weight 257 (april 07) Was down to 173 in Feb '08 quit smoking in March of '08 This morning I was back to 240. (but I still do not smoke) So, how is that for a roller coaster?! So, I have pretty much been the poster child for "how to work your band" and now it should be "what not to do when you have a band" LOL Its all good though. I am back on track as of today. I just got home from the gym. So far today I have had coffee with cream, no sugar and a bowl of oatmeal (no sugar). Take care xo

YAY...it is so good to hear someone that knows they are valuable! It is really sad how one person can make life so miserable. I had a lady like that where I used to work. She liked to try to tell me what to do but here is the great part...she wasn't my boss! lol I feel bad for you but I love your attitude! Good girl!

Turn about is fair play....wanna get fired, tell her off!! lol LOL, I was obsessed with my hip bones...I let everyone feel them! I would lay in bed at night and feel them before I fell asleep. A not so good obsession was my turkey gaggle of a neck I had. That is why this time, I am not going to lose enough this time to have it because it looks horrible! And if I do, I am having a surgery to get rid of it! lol My band is like that. I would rather it be that way than to be too tight and not be able to eat anything, ya know? When I am stressed or on tom my band was tighter too. Drinking lots of water is a good thing, just not while you're eating :wink2: Hi there! So good to know you are up and around! Hope you start feeling better & better :thumbup: I am gonna call and make an appt for the end of this month. The 10 pounds I gained was from the past month. I went to the dr for my follow up for my med he gave me (Celexa) and the nurse made me re-weigh...she thought she did it wrong the first time. lol Everyone...guess what?! I am about to go to the gym! YES, you read it correctly! GO ME! I am going to do this eat right & exercise thing with NO fill in my band until I can go in and get my fill at the end of this month. I am going to do this because I refuse to gain one more pound before my fill. I will not allow such foolishness. My band is a tool that LOADS of people wish they had. Time to make it do what I have made it do before. :w00t: Looking back when I was so stressed out and went for the unfill, I wish I would have left enough in there to at least keep me honest, but I can't go back and change it, so I will just pick myself up, dust myself off and carry on. Tweety, doctors differ as to the pre-op diet. Mine did not require one for me. Some insurnces have diff rules too. My surgery was a week after my first band consultation. Hopefully yours is quick too! Keep us posted!

Wake up!!!!!!! Did I scare ya'll? Oh my....i really hate waking up to a bunch of noise :huh2:. DH is off today and he has one noise level...loud. I didn't want to crawl out of my warm bed this morning! but I did it :scared2: Macy was hard to wake up too. Like mother like daughter. :cursing: I have a dr appt this morning. It is a follow up to see how my happy pills are working. I am going to tell him everything but I am worried hat if he changes it that the side efects will be worse.
