  1. I was banded on the 1st, and I pulled my off after about 7 days. The just didn't look to Steri anymore :Banane10:
  2. I was banded on the 1st, and only immediate family know. I think more out of fear that I might fail and would not want it to be a public failure. But I think that as soon as I am confident I will tell people
  3. I'm not there yet (just banded on the 1st), but if I have an apron or empty man titties when I hit goal I will have not problem seeing a PS
  4. Outstanding! thanks for the info
  5. I have IBS and was banded on the 1st, my doc didn't seem concerned at all. IBS is very prevalent in the obese
  6. you guys are going to do great. I was just banded on the 1st and i feel great. practice your breathing, and walk walk walk
  7. Hey all - I got home this morning and feel like Im doing well. pain hasn't been to bad I've only used meds once today. def still groggy from the meds and anistisia (sp). Practice your breathing!!!!!!! and get up and and walk as often as you can. I'll post more when I am a little clearer headed
  8. Thanks All I will post an update as soon as I can have the laptop, prob tuesday night Kerry
  9. I have always had a very active life, with many interest. I ride motocross, play football with my boys, basket ball, lots of camping and general rough housing with the kids all of this has been dramatically effected by my weight in the last year which is one of the main reasons I am getting banded. So the question band vets are there concerns with these types of activities? Mainly I worry about the port and the possibility of impact in that area BTW I'm scheduled for oct. 1
  10. Thanks for the replies, I look forward to when I will be past this and can focus on the actual changes the band will help me achieve instead of worring
  11. Yeah the fact that all my worries are food related is pretty indicative of why I am in the situation I am. I look forward to being able to put that behind me and look at food as fuel and not an obsession
  12. This is a very timely read for me. I just posted in the general forum about how nervous I am about my oct. 1 surgery. Your post pretty much sums up all the things I am worrying about
  13. I am on the 1st and I know that I am all of those things as well
  14. Very Nervous - - So Monday is the day, and holy crap am I nervous! I have understood mentally how much of a change this will be. But now as I get closer I am starting to freak out a little. It is very much like when I thought about quitting smoking (done with that now ) I would get a panicky feeling in my chest and start feeling significant anxiety. I know that this indicates how much I am attached (addicted) to food. The thought of not getting that high ( I don’t know what else to call it) of eating 3 pieces of pizza, having to much of something that you like, or any other of a thousand different overeating scenarios that provide that high is scaring the hell out of me. This fear is not a logical one that can be rationalized, but rather one that is coming from somewhere that doesn’t respond to the logical fact that if I don’t loose weight it will kill me some day. Just needed to get that out
