Wow good luck !!!!!! I go Tues . Im mangled every time I think about it I feel like I cant breath . In front of family members I keep it together but in private im a hot mess. Its awesome your calm. I should take lessons.

My PA told me I can use nicotine patch or whatever i need before surgery they tested my blood for co2 to make sure for the past 30 days I havent been puffing away. I am doing really well with nicotine induced vapor smokes the brand I use is great you can actually blow smoke rings lol i quit smoking real cigarettes over 2 months ago.

I am in preop liquid stage im getting amazing left lower pelvic pains gettin a little nervous myself . More tired than usual, hating life right now not hungry cause I only have like two shakes a day I cant stomach them, but just bored with the horrendous taste. Ughh , cant wait till its over and done with already. If it is kidneys you may want to drink drink drink. Im not a doc just something I have heard.

Im not sleeved yet ,on liquid diet and I can relate ALREADY! As I drove home from work today the old me would stop somewhere and get something to eat to hold me over to dinner like thru dunkin donut drive thru. Or at dinner want to try food, my husband likes to try new things and now I cant . I actually didnt know what to do with myself. Im not gonna lie sucks already. Good luck to you.

Mine will be like this as well, I went to a what to expect class yesterday , I get cream of wheat first day after surgery after I can keep fluids down. After these liquids I cant wait.

I have read this site over and over and I read blogs about every aspect of this journey so you would think I know what to expect?? Today is my first days on liquids, ok I got this right? I have read about everyone and I know its gonna suck and think that I am so prepared. Being that I quit smoking cigarettes not the fake cigarettes my taste buds are on high alert I taste everything . Well I go to my shake today the one that meets the criteria and guess what I cant drink it!! I am 45 years old with a rock solid stomach and this freakin shake took an hour to go down it was just soooo bad. I am panicking it is now 7:30 and I am babysitting another at least trying and the same it just tastes so bad. So now I am supposed to eat 4 of these a day OMG how? Then I figuered I would take a break and move to chicken broth , well it smelled great when I tasted it more gag refluxes like before its low sodium and tastes like cardboard. Well needless to say I m not a chiuld as bad as this post may sound Im frustrated at myself and had to put salt into the saltless chicken broth. At least after the surgery I start with mushy puree foods something to look forward too. OK so today is day one and so far i have had 320 calories how am I supposed to do this . Im so disappointed in myself, and I just needed the 5 minutes to vent.

While I like my current protein powder (Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Isolate) in a couple of the available flavors, I found that I really liked several of the Syntrax protein drinks - there are fruit-flavored ones and some that are more dessert-flavored. Thank you so much for your great ideas I will definately look into this.

I would think as long as its protein and you didnt eat a thousand calories worth I would think your ok. Please I am a trainwreck with this liquid diet and its only day one.
