Chas74 reacted to DianeJarrett in Not eating enough...
(No need to sound so snippy.) I said I eat 2 ounces of Greek yogurt in the morning, I have chicken breast for lunch, about 2 ounces, and turkey or chicken for dinner, again the same amount. Before I work out, I have about 2 ounces (maybe) of watermelon, recommended by my trainer, and I will finish the 4 oz yogurt cup before I go to bed at night, if I feel like my stomach is empty, which is often. I often switch the chicken or turkey breast for tuna, or salmon and sometimes, I eat oatmeal instead of yogurt to get some Fiber. The yogurt and oatmeal, both recommended by my nutritionist to ensure I don't get constipated again. I drink Water all day, mostly Crystal Light but occasionally plain water. I drink Propel during my workout and finish a bottle of it in about 1.5 hours. I just started back drinking Premier Protein shakes, I can finish 1 - 1.5 a day.
My initial question was more about the empty stomach feeling and how people cope with it, how they ensure they are eating, what habits they have developed to make sure they would eat.

Chas74 got a reaction from Lynda486 in Depressed and GROUCHY
I'm a little over 3 weeks post op and lately I have been depressed and VERY GROUCHY. I have ZERO energy and all I want to do is sleep. I know it has to be a phase but I sure HOPE it gets over SOON. People that are not going through this don't understand at all. I actually had somebody at work ask me "why are you being such a B*tch lately". She KNOWS that I had surgery. Anyways, I've lost 34 pounds so I'm proud of that. I just needed to vent. Has anybody else experienced this??

Chas74 got a reaction from TattooedSeaStar in Sleepy all the time
Tuesday will be 3 weeks since surgery. I have lost 33 pounds. In the beginning I felt GREAT with lots of energy but towards the middle of the week I started feeling fatigued and very sleepy. I make sure I get my Water and Protein but I'm still on the full liquid phase so there's not much to choose from to eat. Any advice??

Chas74 got a reaction from breavsg in 5 days post op- feeling horrible
Have you tried making broth from bouillon cubes. My favorite is the chicken flavor with herbs and spices. Have you tried the sugar free popsicles? That is how I made it through the liquid stage. Also, what Protein Shakes are you drinking? Chike brand banana Magic Meal Replacement is my favorite. Fairlife Protein shakes are very good too. Hang in there. I'm 20 days out and SICK of Soups too.

I can not have purees. I can have plain yogurt but that's it. That's why I'm starting to have issues.

Chas74 got a reaction from breavsg in Peeing alot
@machalo it's going pretty good. This weekend was kinda tough because I'm used to eating good on the weekend plus being off work and bored is killing me cause I want to eat but I haven't had anything I'm not suppose to. I have my follow up tomorrow and then I go back to work Wednesday.

Chas74 got a reaction from Losingit2018 in Gastric sleeve revision and hernia repair
So, I had my revision on the 11th and I'm at my post op appointment. I just met with the dietician and she sure busted my bubble when she told me not to expect to lose the weight like I did before. I'm going to ask the doctor when he comes in but that was a very discouraging thing to hear. Has anyone else been told this?

Chas74 got a reaction from Lynda486 in Hard to take a deep breath
Thanks. I know I worry about any little thing but I just wanted other's opinions. I know it's soon but I was just wondering. I would feel good if it wasn't for this bloated feeling.

Chas74 got a reaction from breavsg in Hard to take a deep breath
Yes, I have a spirometer and I use it. I figured it would have to resolve itself but I figured I would ask anyways.
-
Chas74 reacted to Lynda486 in Hard to take a deep breath
It will resolve with time. I actually started to have trouble breathing at 2 weeks post op and after an afternoon in the ER and a blood clot scare I was diagnosed with Pleurisy. So keep an eye on it, but as your swelling and gas goes down it should resolve Congratulations!

Chas74 reacted to jennifer444 in One year.101lbs down!
Loving life! The BEST thing I've ever done. The resources and advice I've gotten on this board have been instrumental and I thank you all! About 7-8lbs more to go to hit goal and give myself a couple pound buffer but I know it will happen.
Thanks again!

Ive been a sleep tech for yrs and assure there is nothing about sleep apnea thats a scam. U wanna know why it dont work for people who had them in their closet????? They dont use them. U can die from sleep apnea, high blood pressure, stroke, and the list goes on. I suggest u do a lil research

People that dont use their CPAPS after issued them are obviousley not concerned with their health. Try other masks, maybe your pressue needs adjusting or at least return the machine if u dont care about your health
