  1. I had to have a wisdom pulled and my pharmacy gave me a recalled bottle of hydro condone (it wasn't re called till after I got it) needless to say I only took two pills as told and was puking my guts out for 6 hours straight
  2. Well I haven't experienced it but I know it's a huge risk. The surgery it's self isn't to harmful but the pain meds and tests might very well be. Please keep us updated! Vary interested in what the obgyn has to say. It doesn't happen often
  3. do you take meds for pre diabetes? I'm on metformin and one doctor said I have pre another said I have it
  4. 6 months is half a year..usually people don't just wake up and decide they want surgery. I have been researching for a few months as it is. To wait another 6 months is ridiculous
  5. I'm fat and I'm black and I have no ass...it's quite depressing..when I lose I'm prob going to still have no ass
  6. Yeah It's been a long time fear for me that if I lose weight I will change. I have been with my bf for 2 years but he is almost perfect for me and has the right amount of patients to put up with my mental disorders. I get attention already since I'm a girl gamer but its really going to test me when I get skinny. Anyways do what makes you happy!
  7. you my dear are a inspiration!
  8. You guys make me worrie so much lol I'm only 20 but I need to lose 100+ and I have been fat through out my teen years..so many stretch marks....I'm hoping I can just work it off cause I certainly will never be able to afford a tummy tuck
  9. I'm really sorry that happened to you. You handled it way better then how I would have!
  10. Thanks all, I just feel odd because I was never a yoyo dieter.
  11. Can you drink protein drinks when you get home? Like premire
  12. i do not have a date yet. I still need to ask my doctor to refer me which will be on the 11th. My bf wants to lose weight as well but it's only words so far lol. We did sensa together but then he stopped and it stopped working for me. He wants to do the Akins diet so I told him when it comes time for 6 month diet we will work on it together so I hope he is serious and realizes that we both will be cooking more. I hate cooking because I have ADHD its very hard to stay and cook I have to multi task and in doing so I even screw up Mac and cheese on bad days lol.
  13. well that's good to know that it isn't extreme pain walking around. It's not the pain that scares me or the surgery it's the staying away from carbs and restaurant food. Ever since my bf and I moved in together we have been eating out almost every other day because neither of us enjoy cooking. I'm wondering if he will help me out on sticking to healthy foods and not encourage eating out anymore.
  14. he goes to school but when he gets home he's in the living room all the time which is where I would be sleeping lol but if I want to eat I'd have to go down stairs and we have coin op which is a bit of a walk..now that I think about it though my lease is up in August and I won't be done with the 6 month diet so I will just plan on staying with family cause I most likely wont be here I just don't know what to expect because I have only had a small nose surgery which was no biggie at all so idk how much walking is enough or too much
  15. we have been living together for a little over a year and have ver spent more then a night apart :3 but yes he can visit. I'm just wondering if its ok if your place has stairs. I can't imagine coming home after surgery and being able tO walk up and down stairs. My aunts house is 1 story only I'd have to sleep on the couch cause my grandma is living in their guest room. But I wouldn't get peace and quiet with my 8 year old cousin running around so I'm not sure what I want to do
  16. Best of luck! Hopefully everything will be ok! Best of luck! Hopefully everything will be ok!
  17. He still thinks its a bit extreme but I had to explain to him that the sleeve doesn't have the long term effects like the bypass has, that is what really scared him. I'm hoping to bring him to a seminar to help him understand the process better. Now I'm trying to decide if I should stay with my aunt for the first week post op since there is someone always home and lots of support or if I should come back to my apartment with stairs and my bf will be there but he has to work most of the day..will suck not to be with him at night if I do stay with my aunt. Any of you stayed with family post op?
  18. thanks very much for the advice! The whole is there something wrong with my food made me remember the last time I went to a Korean restaurant the owner went searching through my chicken to see how much of it I ate when we left..it was really weird. Any ways thanks again!
  19. it's hard to stay on a diet for me. My grandma never cooked healthy food when she was raising me only boxed foods and stuff like Swedish meat balls and spaghetti. So it will be very hard for me to stay away from restaurant food for a while or easy to make meals since I recently moved out of my family's but I need this push/motivation.
  20. I absolutely love good food. Good tasting food makes my whole day..which is usually restaurant food. Big sucker for anything Asian so I'm very worried. I'm hoping my bf will support healthier eating habits..
  21. are you going to go through with the surgery? Makes me feel Bette r that I'm not the only one
  22. I know it would motivate me but most of you have lost weight with diet and exercise I have not so I'm wondering if surgery will help me lose weight
  23. You should tell them. Family should always be honest with each other in case something happens.
