  1. I have tried diets and exercise but I only lose a little bit but usually just maintain my weight. I once got checked to see if everything was ok with my body and it is. Surgery just makes you eat less so I'm wonderIng if it will help even though I have tried eating less. I am reading that a lot of people diet lose lots of weight Then gain it back I myself haven't been able to lose more then 10 pounds. I know surgery would give me great motivation.
  2. Great job! You look great
  3. Yes I went with my grandma to a seminar 3-4years ago and they did the sleeve but the insurance that most people there had didn't cover the sleeve. Now they do
  4. There is usually a 3-6 month weight with insurances
  5. that would be awesome to see
  6. The insurance sets the time it's the doctors that set the weight goal to shrink your liver. Some just make you do a two week liquid diet before surgery other may make you lose weight during the 3-6 month time. I'm hoping I won't have too because I can only maintain my weight. I keep trying to eat small portions but then I'm hungry when I usually not
  7. Oh that's great!. I haven't talked to my doctor yet to start the process. I'm worried that if they give me a amount I won't be able to lose it
  8. How much are you required to lose and are you close to that goal?
  9. I haven't had surgery yet but I can eat 5 pieces when I'm hungry lol kinda embarrassing when you eat just as much as your bf
  10. Lol you all are worried about approvals and I'm over here worried and nervous about getting laughed at to ask my doctor just to refer me..going to be pure hell if I make it to waiting for approval
  11. Someone said cottage cheese helps or having a orange to suck or some apple sauce helps but who really eats apple sauce or oranges with a steak lol I thought about a fruit cup after eating but drinking the juice might be cheating just a little bit I'm a hard core drinker and eater I only drink when I eat infact so I'm looking for desperate ways to solve this when it comes time for surgery
  12. You should go. I thought I had one in my arm cause it was sore but it was sore pain I never ever felt before and my family has a huge history of blood clots. I didn't go in because it wasn't swollen and oddly enough it went away the next day but it was very risky. If you go on too long you can die from it. They can and will travel
  13. Best one I have seen so far, thank you!
  14. there is groups here but I am looking to see if there are people on this site
  15. I hear Wendy's chili is a great go to fast food. I never knew their chili was good
  16. Woah woah woah! You have to get a catheter? Eek! Are people normally awake for that? I imagine it hurts to be out in and is extremely annoying lol. Back to the original topic when I get nervous I am extremely quiet because of all the thoughts in my head. I like to be left alone but not alone if that makes sense. So far I have only had 1 surgery and that was for a deviated septum and I was terrified over that and there was no over night stay. I remember being in the operation room and counting down. The worst part for me is the nausea. I ended up throwing up once I got home from surgery and almost blow out my nose stents lol.
  17. To be honest I didn't really care about my weight till my health became a issue..don't get me wrong have been over weight since I was 12 so I've always wanted to be able to wear a bikini and be able to be picked up and held but it never bothered me for more then a few months at a time. I fear of what my adult body will look like skinny I fear I won't like the shape of it ect so I know I am going to struggle with my image but I imagine it will take time to get used to it.
  18. here their grilled is soggy and slimy..if it was BBQ properly I'd be all over that.
  19. I live in Eugene would really like to talk to people in or around Eugene.
  20. i hated them as a kid but I slowly started to love them as I got older lol
  21. the problem with the sleep study was I'm nocturnal I am awake at night and they made me sleep, I have to take prescribed meds to sleep but in order to have slept for the sleep study they had to do something stronger because on top of being nocturnal it is twice as hard to sleep when I'm excited or nervous. I often think its the pills that make me so tired but when I was skinny I had lots of energy regardless of the pills I took, sure I had a harder time waking up but I never had to drink coffee or energy drinks. I still don't have to use those but if I wake up early I knock out durning the day which makes me stay up later anyways. When I go to bed before 12 I wake up wide awake at 4am and then can't go back to sleep till 8 am then I'm sleeping all day again. But no matter what I still have to sleep a lot to be awake
  22. yep me too. I was diagnosed as a kid and teen with ADHD but now I sleep a ton..where the heck did all that energy go?!?! Lmao
