  1. I don't know about all health insurance companies but my husband works for Blue Cross Blue Shield & he says the only way they'd pay for any type of cosmetic surgery is if it causes a medical condition, as in rashes or yeast infections. I just hope when I get to goal that I won't be tripping over my own tummy skin! As it is, I'll be tripping over my boobs!
  2. Yummy! Did you make that chicken skewer?
  3. WHAT??! What happened? Weren't you supposed to have surgery this morning? I'm so sorry! That must be awful to have to psych yourself out again for tomorrow?
  4. Thank you for having fat legs too! Whew! Thought I was the ONLY one!
  5. I'm sure you're not alone! Sending positive vibes for a healthy & speedy recovery for your son! I can't even imagine how stressed I'd be if it were one of my kids!
  6. You probably have enough reasons already but each insurance company is different. The best way to find out is to call & ask them. Good luck to you!
  7. Those legs are NOT fat! Am I the only one with fat legs too? Good luck to you! Please keep us posted.....we'll all be thinking of you!
  8. Sounds like a drink I'd love too! Thanks for sharing!
  9. Couldn't have said this better myself! I totally agree with you. With all that being said, naturally my husband knows & 2 very close friends who live out of state & I did tell one of my neighbors (who doesn't talk to the other neighbors) in case I need help with my special needs son. That's it. Those 4 people know how important it is to me for it to remain private. I just don't want to deal with the negativity & the "can't you just join Weight Watchers??" If someone says to me "you took the easy way out" somebody better hold me back! That's why its no one's business! Maybe you have better friends/relatives than I have. So just do what's right for you. If it's to hard to keep a secret, then just tell...but be prepared for everyone's input.
  10. OMGosh...I know I will definitely celebrate THAT day! Congratulations to you!!
  11. You're such a pretty girl! Congratulations! You look gorgeous!
  12. If you don't have a coupon & need one, they have their coupon booklets at the customer service desk. I just bought a case of vanilla. I have also recently changed the facility where I was going to have my surgery so their program is a bit different & while the first hospital okay'd the Premier Protein shakes, the new hospital I'm going thru now doesn't approve of it. I'm going to use them anyway. Naturally the new hospital program wants me to buy their own brand of shakes which are far more expensive. I heard there is some delish organic broth at costco in the spices aisles I believe the girl wrote. It was posted here on this forum somewhere.
  13. Why is it called "hidden menu" ?
  14. You were always beautiful but now you're glowing! Congratulations! You look gorgeous!
  15. Of course we want to see!!!
  16. Now THAT was funny!! HAHAHAHAHA!!
  17. Oh, I so wish I hadn't been able to part with mine. I hadn't been able to wear them for years & my foot size has grown so figured it was a lost cause keeping my closet cluttered for no reason. I'm just sick about giving them up. Of course, now it's been about 10 years since I gave them up, but you know, they were classic shoes, so they never go out of style. I adored them but there is no way I can ever afford another pair. I had bought 2 pair when I was single & then my husband bought me another 2 pair for my birthday one year. My first two pair were from the Beverly Hills store on Rodeo Drive....I used to work in B.H. when I lived in CA, so I'd go on my lunch & window shopped (& saved a lot) till I could afford my first pair!! They were as comfy as sneakers & soooooo pretty! Hey! Maybe I'll start saving now & by the time I get to goal, I will buy myself another pair! Yeah...right. For some reason, now that I'm a Mom, I can't even make myself spend that kind of money on just shoes. Good luck going shopping for yours!
  18. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( You mean I gave away all my Ferragamo shoes that were too small on me but maybe I'd get back into them???? I'm too poor to rebuy them now! I was single when I bought them! WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. OMGosh, I'd have freaked out hearing that nurse say you were going to bleed out??!! So glad you're feeling human again! Let us know how your journey is going...
  20. Awesome fulfilling career ahead! Anyone who has a job as a healer deserves a standing ovation! **Standing up & clapping!** Good luck in your new career!
  21. Good luck & God Bless!! Please check back in with us!
  22. Congratulations to you!! That's wonderful!
  23. My husband didn't want me to have the surgery until he educated himself on it. He works for BCBS so he did all the inquiries on it & found it to be a safe surgery & certainly safer than me staying at this body weight. So after he was educated, he not only approved but he's my biggest supporter! I don't know if I could go thru something this drastic without his blessings. I really don't. Especially since he's only one of 3 I've told!
  24. This is going to be something we will all have to work hard on getting over. You're just so lucky that you haven't had any tummy issues with the bites here & there. Forgive yourself & move on. Don't get caught in that cycle again, you took such a drastic step to help yourself, why sabotage yourself post sleeve? In fact, I just got up from my computer & went to my pantry where I have a bunch of junk my kids eat & I was looking at what I could have. Am I hungry? NO! In fact, I'm full! But it's probably nothing more than habit ~ so I shut the pantry door & walked away saying out loud "you've got to stop this NOW!" Lets hope I listen to myself the next time I do that! Can you attend a support group meeting? That's what I"m going to have to do...weekly if not more!
