msjovanna got a reaction from GreenTealael in Sleve Revision 12/5....nervous
    Hi All
I'm having my sleeve revision surgery in two weeks and I'm nervous. Just wondering if anyone has had a revision and would love to hear how it's working for you. How long was the recovery the second time around?

I had my surgery on the 5th and the Isopure Protein Drinks have been a lifesaver! I'm still working on hitting the minimum Fluid and Protein intake. I need at leat 40 grams of protein and 42oz of fluids. This is harder than I thought it would be but I'm going to do it!

I get headaches when I know I have not eaten enough. I am cleared to workout and I want to but I'm nervous about getting enough calories in. I don't dont get enough in as it is. I don't know who much I have lost this week because I had my hubby hide the scale. It wasnt moving and I hate that. So its better to just forget about the scale right now when I know my body is holding for dear life. The first week out of surgery was super hard. I'm glad I feel normal again. I hate when I eat something and get two bites in and then I am full for 4 hours after that. It makes me nervous for when I can eat whatever I want. Anyway. I love this forum so I can hear how everyone else is doing. Its great to know your not alone.

msjovanna reacted to mikeross in Was able to eat 2 hard shell tacos today... Is that considered a lot?
Thanks for the replies guys. I just wanted to note that this isnt a "OMG I cheated" thread or "help me get back on track" post. This is a "I hit my goal of 50lbs lost since surgery in 2 months so I decided to eat 2 tacos" thread lol.
I eat on average about 10oz of lean Protein in the form of steak, chicken breast or pork tenderloin daily, salmon once in awhile. That 10oz is usually split into 3 meals or 2 bigger ones. It takes me about 20-40mins to eat 3-4oz of meat. I can eat the first 2oz pretty quickly then takes about 20mins to eat the other 2oz. I force myself to finish all 4oz for the Protein intake.
With that said I do think these tacos compact easily in the sleeve. The insides of one of these taco bell tacos isnt that much especially if you look at really how little beef is inside one. The shells, if chewed properly, can be broken down to less than a 1/4cup.
I was just a little surprised I was able to eat them both and feel great afterwards. If I tried to eat 4oz of chicken in 10mins I would be foaming and feeling very uncomfortable.
    Again, thanks for the replies....

I have had a run in or two with tortilla chips it's like regular chips in the sense that when you chew they break down to nothing. So you can eat a lot!! And the meat in Taco Bell?! Not all meat! And they put what a teaspoon in each taco
( just trying to stop mike from jumping off the edge here people)

I have been sipping the Isopure drinks. 20 oz =40 grams of protein. And having crushed ice all day. I love water and am having a hard time not gulping so the ice has been my saving grace.
Had some unjury chicken Soup yesterday. Will have some more tomorrow. Going to shoot for 60 grams of protein tomorrow. I am on thin liquids for 3 weeks so I'm sure it will get boring but that will be a small price to pay for a healthy weight and all the health rewards that go with it!
Keep up the great work and speedy recovery to you!

I'm so sorry you are having a hard time. What a great loss you have so far!!
Are you getting in your Protein? Also were you put on any PPI after surgery? (Priolosec etc)
If you know it not to be acid (which can mimic hunger pains) try adding some Protein powder to some sugar free pudding. Or adding a shake to your day. How much Water are you getting in?
You can do this, you'll find what works for you. Keeping asking the questions, someone will be able to help.

    Good morning fellow sleevers!!
I really feel better this morning. Yesterday I had two Protein Shakes and two bottles of Water and I walked more than I have since I've been home. Honest to god, I swear, the back and neck pain is worse than the surgical pains.
You guys are great! I'm so glad we have each other!

LaKimmie I know how you feel I tried watching that too, CRIED like a baby. I was like WTF? My mom came down to help with the kids while my Hubby is a work, she been scratching her head at me. This is all such a big adjustment, it truly is a life changing event. I have been going for walks with my Mom, it actually gives me time to clear my head. It's annoying that it takes 1 hour to eat a 1/2 cup of yogurt, but I just keep telling myself "Soon I will be happier and healthier" I just have to keep giving myself positive pep talks. Who knows by the middle of the week, I may be able to sit through Beyoncé documentary without CRYING!!

    Hi everyone
I finally made the big leap together healthy. I got my sleeve on Tuesday and so far so good. I'm not really in pain. I just have a lot of discomfort from the anesthesia. There is a ton of air in my tummy. I wish I could drink some pop so I could burp it all up. But I know soda is off limits. Any advice?
Also if you are looking for a good Protein Drink try Isopure. They are 20oz drinks and gave 40 grams of Protein. I really like the grape kind. You can find them at GNC. They are not cheap but it's worth the expense. I can't do the Protein powder yet. I also made some yummy meatball Soup right beforevmy surgery. It strained out the meat and veggies and only drink the broth. Very yummy. I can't stand drinking only sweet stuff. I need something savory at least once a day.
I'm still struggling to drink 48oz of fluids. Today was the first time that I felt hungry so hopefully that will motivate me to drink more.
I have a long way to go and really need the support. I'm hoping this forum will give me the advice and encouragement that I need to see this weight loss journey through to a successful end.
