  1. Wow! Sorry you've been put through this. Most drs like to see their patients in 1-2 weeks after any surgery. During the seminar, they claimed we would get all this support from this awesome team they have, but yet you can't get a simple follow up. The last conversation I had with Paige, I felt like i was just another number to them. Since then I've seen my pcp, explained to him why I haven't had the surgery, and scheduled a new consult with a different facility. I called transformations today to ask about transferring my records. She ask why the change and if I was moving. I told her "I'm changing drs because I simply not happy with your business." My husband and I both have our consults on nov 13th.
  2. New surgery consult for me is November 13. I'll still continue to see nnp cruise at transformations until all my paperwork has been transferred to dr.vick @umc. I've talked to the coordinator and he thinks they will be able to schedule surgery as soon as my chart has been reviewed if everything has been cleared.

    December Sleevers?

They postponed it because the surgeon decided at the last min she wants me to lose 50 instead of just 20 like she told me back in May. Why wait 5 months to tell me to lose 30 more when I've been talking to you all along was my question to her. So as of today Ive made a new consult appt with a different doctor. Let's see who wants my money more lol. My original date was nov 4th. I was approved and ready to pay. Til she called me the next morning with this bs

17 pounds in two weeks is great, in my opinion. Sounds like he's nuts for wanting more.

    December Sleevers?

My November date was postponed due to the dr deciding at the last min she wants me to lose 30 pounds. So I'm hoping for December if not looks like I'll be in the January crew
  6. I didn't lose any during my weight management. After I completed the 6 month requirement, I developed my own plan and am down 21 pounds. 30 more and I'm given the green light
  7. This year just keeps getting better and better for me pffft! The out of pocket expense for state employees will be increasing drastically as of January first. What is currently $2500 will change to a whooping $6350!!!! That doesn't include your dr deposit and hospital fees. There is NO way I'm paying that. So after signing my paperwork for 2014 I immediately scheduled for my surgery consult with dr Vick. Because I am a Umc employee it appears (from the benefit paperwork) I will not have to pay anything but my deductible. My of pocket expenses will be waived also I will get to use my 20% employee discount. My new consult date is November 13th with dr Vick. I will continue seeing Cindy cruise until everything has been transferred to Umc or dr cummins agrees for a December date.
  8. I haven't posted anything since they postponed my surgery so here's an update. I weighed in Monday 9/30 and I'm down 21 pounds! So I still have a few more to go before I get a date. I meet with NUT and dr cummins nnp next Wednesday 10/9 to see where I am in this extended process. They still think I can get a date for this year judging by my progress. But I'm not getting my hopes up until papers are signed and money is paid. Fool me once, won't fool me twice. I've come to terms that it may be January. Congrats to those who've had surgery in that last few days. Amanda
  9. I thought all state employees had to use dr cummins?
  10. Lmao that's your story and you're sticking to it huh? This thread is too funny
  11. Looks like my surgery date is moving. I don't have any details yet. I think my heart has shattered into a million pieces. Looking at the first of January now. Worse day of my life is today.
  12. Paige called me around noon today with my date! Which is Monday, Novemeber 4th!!! yay!! I didnt have to submit any documentaion on dieting attempts. Just the letter from my pcp, 6month weight management, psych eval, and weight history for the last 3 years. My phase 2 testing was easy peasy! It only took about 20 mins after checking in. The abg i was a littler nervous about because im usually a hard stick but she was a pro! Hopefully you hear from Paige tomorrow or friday. I know she told me this after noon, if i couldnt have surgery on the 11/4 then i would have to move to december. Dr cummins was filled for the rest of the month for the sleeve option.
  13. I was shocked at the timing as well. Tyvm, hopefully you hear something soon! Good luck!
