I hit a stall and trust me it does not last! Maybe you should reevaluate what you are doing in the gym/ or what you're doing as far as exercising. Sometimes when you start weight training your body loses inches and remember muscle weighs more than fat! Be encouraged!!!!

If you do a search, you will find hundreds of discussions on this topic. Many people report a supplement they are taking to "fix it" but I think that it is pretty much unavoidable for some of us. Get adequate Protein, Iron and zinc.... but in my case none of that helped. You either lose hair, starting about 3-4 months out, or you don't. I had very thick hair to start with, and I estimate I lost nearly half of it. It was alot of hair!!!
Good news is that is growing back very thick now!
If you are still losing hair a year out, that is likely nutritional deficiency related.

This is not the case for ALL doctors or coordinators. I've gotten crap hospital service in the US, and botched surgeries that I paid way more than 5,000 for!

I had surgery April 29th 2013 with Dr Garcia and his team. They make you feel welcomed & comfortable before surgery. When i arrived i met beautiful Ana!! She is the Secretary(new) She was very caring and was only suppose to do my admit/discharge papers but took the time out of her day to come and talk to me:) She would check on things that had nothing to do with her department! I met dr Garcia before my surgery. Very sweet and a little shy. Listened to me about being soo modest. thank god!! he drew the procedure on his tablet explaining everything. I met Dr Valasco who answered all my questions and spent lots of time in my room making sure I was ok. Hospital Oasis made sure I was not in pain or had nausea (meds). The first night was rough. I had pain, nausea, was very hot, miserable and my blood sugar went up. Dr garcia nurses right away gave me a fan and medicine. (insulin)
I will say there were 2ladies there that had a DIFFRENT Dr. and they had surgery same day as me. they had pain meds once, they had no window, no fan (super hot in there room). I started gatorade & apple juice. they were still getting ice chips, getting ready to be released!! Also they had only one leak test after surgery. I felt bad for them and pray they are at a healthy revovery.
The way the Dr's talk about eachother is amazing. You can tell they are close and truly care about each other.
I THANK DR GARCIA AND HIS WONDERFUL TEAM for a second chance at life!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update on my progress. Hopefully the picture I attached works, if not it can be seen on my profile.
I had surgery on 1/22/2013 with Dr. Garcia at MiDoctor Hospital. My post op recovery has been amazing and my overall experience just fantastic! I have lost 62 lbs as of Mothers Day and I only have 20 to go until I hit my goal weight of 138! On surgery day I weighed 219.8 and today I weighed 158.4. I track every single thing that goes into my mouth on MyFitnessPal and highly recommend that every surgery patient use a similar program as well. I've also lost 37 inches total...most from my stomach!
I hope everyone is doing well!

I personally believe Dr. Garcia could be more expensive if he worked out of a larger, more upgraded facility. I wouldn't be surprised if his price increased over the next year or two. He is a fantastic surgeon and his team is amazing. Good luck with whomever you choose

I don't quite understand the logic of pushing the envelope here. I'm too afraid to screw up my new tummy or worse end up in the emergency room, inconveniencing my family, or worse. I did this to win the battle with food, not to try to figure out how to cheat as soon as possible. I'm with you, I don't get it.

I have twins nearly 2 years old. I was told nothing over 20 pounds for at least 4 weeks. I let them climb on me. Hubby took care of baths and running errands with them. Now at 4 weeks out I only put them.down for naps. In the beginning. I would get them out of their crib by putting one leg over at a time. They would hold on and get down.

It's crazy you guys are having this discussion. I just finished watching a pre-op video by my surgeon where he said that there should be no such thing as following his pre-op and post-op instructions at 98%, only 100% - nothing less. He's a conservative surgeon, of course, but has managed to scare this sh** out of me; therefore, I'm giving this my 110% ... no joke. If it isn't on the list, I'm not going anywhere near it.

@Lilbearzmom your attempt at sarcasm really does not speak to the true intent of the OP topic. I am on the board for accountability and sound advice. My surgeon did not tell me everything but i did have the good sense to seek out information on my own. Congrats on the 95 lb loss.
