  1. My surgeon told his patients they were allowed to drive 24 hours after their last dose of pain meds. i drove myself to my 1 week followup.
  2. Could it be about the person who you see in the mirror? Are you happy with what you see? Not happy? I don't find what I see in the mirror attractive - less so as I lose weight and more sags. However... My libido has been high as long as I can remember. Before surgery I had issues with "maintaining attention". I find that as I lose weight, I have a better "attention span". Possibly two different issues, but please don't feel embarrassed talking about anything here.
  3. I avoided posting in this thread as I feel bad for hijacking your other one. I did want you to know that this thread inspired me to finally go to my doctor and ask for antidepressants. As soon as Aetna gets the stick out of their butts I'll be able to start taking them. Thank you Amy, and I wish you best of the best in getting your groove back.
  4. The World According To Egg Face
  5. I'm 8 weeks out tomorrow, I've been eating 4oz but I was able to eat an entire 8oz of cup of cioppino on Saturday and it didn't hurt me.
  6. Wait. What? Does your Multivitamin have Iron?
  7. We usually eat them in a bowl, not on a porpoise. [rimshot]
  8. As I recall, it said "Sweet BBQ" - I can appreciate sweet onions, sweet chocolate, and even sweet Molly - I'm from Texas, there aint no sweet BBQ!
  9. Three bags - pizza, Ranch, Salt & Vinegar Thanks for the recommendation!
  10. I got conflicting information between my surgeon and the NUT he uses as well!
  11. Chili is generally kinda heavy, i would wait until after full liquids. The jello should be fine now tho.
  12. I didn't have a puree phase but made sure I kept drinking my Protein drinks even to this day to make sure I was getting my protein in. My secondary surgeon said it should be possible to eat a cup at six months out, but as everything else, this varies by person. You should be able to eat more than a few tablespoons soon.
  13. Wouldn't it make sense to make the sections invisible to the opposite sex? Until then, it's going to keep happening. I bet I'm not the only one that will turn a blind eye to a woman commenting in the men's section. Good luck.
  14. Don't apologize, it's okay. Many people go through what you're dealing with right now and things will be back to normal soon. Different people heal differently so don't go comparing yourself to anyone else. All those things you said above, you'll be able to do them again soon enough. And yes, absolutely get to a support group asap - as many as you need to. A buddy of mine here on VST goes to 4 different ones and she's 3+ years out. Cry, vent, scream, whatever you need to do. You're in good company here at VST.
  15. Actually she told them that the restraint was not clicked into place properly and they pretty much dismissed her I'm not making excuses for her, but the park should have made her get off of the ride at that point.
  16. I don't think so. There's a wealth of knowledge in that pretty little head and you are someone here that I look up to. So you're not hiding anywhere!
  17. I appreciate people like you. Sometimes I need a kick in the ass. I hope you are here inspiring people for a long, long time.
  18. May I ask what that means? I'm not familiar with it.
