  1. That is good to know about you getting hungry after two weeks, well, I guess it is a good thing and a bad! :biggrin1: I should just enjoy this phase since it could be over soon! Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the info, that is good to know! I will be sticking to crystal light and water!
  3. That is such a good idea about the pill splitter, I need to go and get one. I have had to crush my pills and have tried taking them in juice, gatorade... you name it and they are HORRIBLE!!! :omg: I actually dread taking my meds each day! AUGHHH!!! So, thanks for the info, I had hated doing this whole crushing thing!!! Also, I have been drinking the protein drink called Whey Protein by Body Fortress. I found it at Wal-Mart, it is pretty reasonable as far as price and it has 46 grams of protein. I blend it with a cup of soy milk and some ice and I think it tastes great. I am pretty picky about most Protein shakes and have not really found one I like until this one! Hope that helps!
  4. How many fills have you had total?
  5. 12 weeks Wow! So, did you end up getting a fill at 6 weeks or not? I am not sure what to do because I have to go to Mexico to get my fills and I need to book my flight soon, but if I don't need a fill at that point I am not sure what I should do.
  6. I was banded on the 6th of Sep. I have not not been hungry at all, I have to make myself eat most of the time. I have been drinking water, gatorade and sugar free crystal light all throughout the day so I am wonderfing if this is why I am not feeling hungry??? has anyone else had this, I would love some feedback of what I should be doing different or if this is normal for this early in to it. Thanks!
  7. I had the chills for about the first 3-4 days, could not get warm, which is very odd for me, I am always hot! After about the 4th day I was fine. It should pass, maybe just your body still in shock from surgery!
  8. Thanks for the tips. I tried a protein drink yesterday and also had some baby rice cereal (I know, it sounds bad but it was ok actually!) I also had some apple sauce, I was trying to do the BRAT diet that you are supposed to do in this case. (bananas, rice, apple sauce and toast) I can't do the first and the last so I tried a modified version. I have not had any problems since yesterday after trying this. I am hoping that was the end of it! :guess
  9. I am glad to know that I am not the only one who has had this problem! I am afraid I am going to get dehydrated, everything I drink goes right through me! Hopefully it will end soon. I talked to my nutrishionist (?) today and she said to try a protein shake with soy milk. I have never had problems with milk or dairy products before, hopefully this will not be the case going forward! I will try the imodium though, hopefully that will work! Thanks for the tip!
  10. Thanks! Maybe I should do the clear liquids for a few more days! It might of been a little pre-mature!
  11. Thanks for the reply, maybe it is just the meds working their way out :rolleyes I guess I will try to sip on it a little tommarrow and see how I do before I drink any more. It will most likely take me a few days to finish one, but that is better than this!
  12. I had my lap band surgery on Sep. 6th. I have been on clear liquids up until today. I was allowed to introduce liquid yogurt. I sipped on it on and off throughout the day and after I had finished it I began feeling some serious rumbling in my stomache and have had the runs ever since. :sick I mean in the bathroom like every 20-30 minutes! Is this normal? :nervous Should I just not do the yogurt? I have always eaten yogurt/dairy products in the past with no problems! Help! I don't know what to do!!! Thanks~
  13. You need to copy the ticker and paste it under your signature, maybe I am missing a step, anyone have any better suggestions??? Sorry, I don't know why it didn't work? There should be a code you have to copy. I had my surgery on the 6th. I am doing pretty good, was able to get up and walk around right after. I am already ready for this clear liquid phase to be over with, but, so far good!
  14. Hey! I am in TJ, I had my surgery yesterday! I am doing great, way better than I expected to be doing! I was up and walking all oround the plaza there near the hotel. Dr. Ortiz was wonderful! I would reccommend him to any one! Fantastic doctor and staff! I will be flying home tommarrow (Sat.) Just wanted to wish all of you who's surgeries are coming up! And to relax... it will be much better than you expected! I already am so glad I did this!
  15. Hey all! I can't believe it, tommarrow is the big day! Yeah! I am very excited! I lost 20 pounds on my pre-op diet! Yeah!!! I am here in TJ and wanted to tell everyone scheduled for surgery good luck!!! We can do this!:clap2: I will let you know how my surgery goes ASAP!!!
  16. Wow! Thanks for the heads up!:omg: I haven't ever had Sugar Free Chocolates. I guess you are right, shouldn't chance something like that so close to my surgery date! And, yes, I will tell hubby to bring home flowers instaed next time!
  17. Congrats! I am excited as well, I know it will be a good thing! I am also worried as well about having to have "reconstructive surgery" after I lose all the weight, :nervous It started stressing me so I just have to realize that if I have to do something later than I'll have to, but anything is better than being overweight! At least you can hide stretched out skin! Good luck!~
  18. Thank you!!!:biggrin1: I do appreciate your help, you are speaking like a true chocolate lover!!! I have had it in the bag for a few days and I have done pretty good so far, the problem is if I have it I will probally feel guilt for days!!! LOL!:bandit Thanks for the moral support!!! haha and great job on your loss! I look forward to the days when I can eat more foods and be losing weight all at the same time!:whoo:
  19. Yeah, it was just one small piece of chocolate that was from a candy store, It was in bulk so I don't know the fat content. But, I agree, it is probally better to not go down that path for fear of wanting more!:paranoid Will I be able to eat it after my surgery and if so, how long after? Thanks for the reply, it has been helpful!:clap2:
  20. I know this might be a really syupid question, but I am really needing to know. My husband bought me a few pieces of sugar free chocolates, My surgery is Sep 6th and I have been on my pre-op diet for 6 days now (protein Shake Breakfast and lunch, Lean Cuisine for dinner) anyways, my question is, would I be able to have at least one of these chocolates now or do I have to wait till after my surgery? I just keep thinking that it will be 4-5 weeks after surgery before I would even be able to try and eat them, UGHHHH Hopefully someone can help me out!:omg: If it is a definate no no, I will not but sincew it was sugar free I thought I would ask:nervous
  21. All you have to do is click on someone's ticker chart and it will bring you to that link Let me know if you can't get it, I will try and help more! Also, I cheated a little last night (I was on day 5) we went to the cheesecake factory and I got lettuce rolls, I even skipped out on dessert!!! so, overall it was still good, but not liquid... I am now feeling sick and frustrated as well as guilty, any suggestions??? :huggie: Should I keep beating myself over the head or was it not too bad of a slip up?
  22. I started my pre-op diet on Monday. A protein shake for breakfast and lunch and a lean cuisine for dinner. The first few days I was starving but I am on my fourth day and I am starting to finally feel less hungry! :hungry:
  23. Sorry, I was wrong. I thought your surgery was on the 6th. I don't kow where I got that from! Mine is actually on the 6th. You also have the same goal weight as me! Good luck! Here's to a thinner us!!!:whoo:
  24. I saw that you are getting banded the day after mine. Where are you getting banded?
  25. I started my pre-op diet today (Monday) and I have been drinking a chocolate protein drink and adding raspberry jello to it to taste like a chocolate dessert, but... since you don't have a sweet tooth (like I do!) I think they all might taste bad. Have you asked your doctor if you could just eat tons of protein? Fish, chicken, eggs ect.? It might be just as good... I don't know?
