noura- got a reaction from CallMeTee in is anybody out there suffering from pcos?
I have pcos too! It's very common and I think having the sleeve will help you lose a lot of weight and losing weight will eventually help ease the pcos with time!

One of the perks of being over weight is having a fat personality.
A fat personality is someone who is sensitive, loving, funny and caring. Just like a teddy bear!
I'm not trying to discriminate, this is only my way of seeing things and I don't take myself seriously, so should you!!
Ok so, I think most fat people always have better personalities than most skinny people!
People who have always been overweight may care more about having a good personality and a sense of humour, they also tend to be more affectionate and forgiving. Maybe it's a psychological compensation mechanism?
I hope I never lose my fat self..
Dear god, please make my body thin and my personality fat.. Amen.

I wouldn't feel particularly comfortable by skinny people coming to ask me what I've done! I'd simply say that I cut back on portions! (Which is kind of the truth)
But I'd definitely tell someone if I know that they struggle with their weight themselves or know someone close who does...

noura- reacted to NtvTxn in Almost 3 yrs and I'm still amazed
Hi Noura - at this point, there is nothing I feel I cannot eat. I CHOOSE not to eat some things and I never, ever drink soft drinks. That is the only off limit thing in my life. The difference now is I do not mindlessly eat, not normally....now days I am aware of everything I put into my mouth. There is a huge difference. There ARE a couple of things that get me if I'm not careful. Rice and Pasta, I still cannot eat a lot of these two things but they are soft, so if we are at Bucca di Beppo or Olive Garden, I need to get a box to go when they bring dinner to the table, or I need to literally divide what I am going to eat and what I am going to take home. It can sneak up on you. If you haven't heard the term, 'One bite too many'. It is the truth, one bite can make all the difference in the world. The most recent thing that happened was when I got chicken fried rice at a local Thai restaurant. I like this place because although there isn't a lot to choose from on the children's menu, they will let me order from it. Sadly, the amount is what EVERYONE should be served, but that's a whole other story. I always eat all the chicken and some of the rice. Well, this night I ate all the chicken and a couple bites too much of the rice. I was miserable. When I eat too much, I have to spit, I know, that sounds weird and gross, maybe some call it foaming, but it's that feeling you get just prior to throwing up, except I don't throw up, just a lot of salivia. I had to lay the seat down on the way home and opened the car door and DID spit several times before we made it home. I know better, I have to pay more attention. Other than that, I am just careful of the amount. Weighing and measuring at home, and putting aside what I am going to eat/take home, when we are out!! I hope this helps!

noura- reacted to MaryDrew in 30 second Protein cookies
    30 SECOND COCOA COOKIE
1 teaspoon butter or coconut oil
1/2 scoop vanilla whey Protein Powder, 1/6 cup *
    1 teaspoon cocoa
2 teaspoons granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda **
    Water, as needed
In a small microwaveable bowl, heat the butter in the microwave about 20 seconds or until melted. Skip this step if using coconut oil. If you're using liquid Splenda, mix it into the melted butter or oil now. Stir in the whey powder and granular sweetener as well as you can. It will be very dry and crumbly. Gradually add water, about 1/8 teaspoon at a time, just until you can form the mixture into a ball that isn't too sticky to handle. Some oil might ooze out of the dough but that's fine. Keep the dough ball in the bowl, flatten it into a cookie shape and microwave on HIGH 15-30 seconds or until the dough puffs up and looks set and dry to the touch. Don't over cook it or it will come out very dry. In my microwave it takes about 15-20 seconds. Cool and eat.Makes 1 cookie
    * I used Body Fortress brand.
** I used 1 teaspoon spoonable Truvia (not the kind in packets) that I ran through my coffee grinder to make powdered "sugar". I measured it after grinding.
