I ate some oatmeal today. Made it a tiny big runnier that normal. Didn't have any issues.

My surgeon used surgi strips, but in see a lot of people on here talking about staples. How did your surgeon close your incisions?

I figured out how to curb bacon cravings..,eat Flinstone's chewable vitamins before you eat of bacon. Makes it taste like the pig was raised on acidic rain and rusty nails!

Was that in the US or in Mexico?

I did Atkins' shakes too! For what ever reason post surgery I struggled to get them down. They made me feel so weird. But I found the new high Proteins slim fast ones. IMO, they taste way better than Atkins. And they are higher in Protein (20 grams) and they only have 2 net carbs. They are in the same price point as the Atkins ones.

I had the same happen. I took Zicam.

Yeah, I actually had my first post-op visit scheduled that same day it happened. I went to my dr. and she scheduled me for a CT scan to make sure it wasn't a hernia. I had the CT scan that afternoon and then a follow up appointment the next day again with my dr. It took about a week to get back to where I was. The pain subsided in a couple days and it was just sore.

My hair changed after surgery some, too. Late about a month. My hair is really long and really curly. It is course though, so I have a certain mix of hair products I use and it always looks best when I use them. Right after surgery that mix stopped working! So frustrating. I kept using them, thinking it was user error. Finally yesterday, I was back to normal. Hope it just lasts a bit for you!

Some people in this forum don't tell family and friends because they are ashamed that they had WLS. Some people don't tell them because they don't have the support systems they need. If you don't tell anyone because you are ashamed that you had WLS, I don't get that...but it isn't my place to, either. You shouldn't be ashamed that you did this tho..,because it is one of the most awesomely courageous things you have done in your whole life. If you don't tell anyone because you don't have a good support system around you...I am sorry! I have been in this place before, and it is miserable. I started off by telling my husband and kids. Then I told my mom and dad and a couple really good friends. After surgery, when I started losing really fast, I started telling more people. I actually told anyone who asked. I personally felt guilty about lying, because I didn't want people think they could lose like this by "eating right and working out!" More than that, I am 39...if I get a crappy reaction, then I don't need that person in my life. I am too awesome to have people judge me and not be supportive. I had a couple weird reactions and several people who put their foot in their mouth. But all have come around. Good for them, because of they didn't, we would have to part ways. I am not apologizing for being the best me, nor will I ever let them shame me. Please know that I am not judging anyone. As I said this is me and the way I life my life. You do yours anyway you want, as long as you are happy and healthy!

I tore my muscle wall internally where the stitches were internally. It felt like fire for awhile, but mostly was gone in 3-4 days.

I had a 10 day pre-op diet, but it wasn't just liquids. Prior to that, I made a list of all the stuff I wanted to eat before surgery. In the 2 weeks before I started the pre-op diet, I ate stuff off of that list! I didn't binge, but I ate what I wanted with no guilt!

I will be praying for you too! Specifically for wisdom for the doctors treating you and peace and comfort for you. Hopefully answers will be coming quickly!

Usually about an hour for a straight sleeve. Not sure for band to sleeve revision. Recovery is standard at usually an hour or an hour and a half, unless there were complications.

I took a nap one day after lunch, and the same thjng happened to me. So weird. I thought if was because my stomach was full and the stomach acid/food was coming out. It was yuck!
