Waking up suddenly ....what is this?

So I am about 17 days post~op and doing great for the most part. I am on week 2 of full liquids. Tonight I woke up two times suddenly with this rushing/gushing feeling in my mouth. Not sure how to best describe it but it almost felt like a burst of bubbles rushing up my throat. It startled me awake and scared the living day lights out of me! I didn't feel like I needed to throw anything up and there didn't really seem to be a bunch of liquid in my mouth although it made me want to sip a little water. Anyone else have this? What is it?

Sounds like reflux to me. Visit with the doctor. You may need more than one dose of your PPI or an acid reducer before bed.

Sounds like acid reflux.. Or maybe you laid down to soon after drinking.. But deff sounds like acid reflux..

Sent from my SPH-D710 using VST

I get that A LOT, When i drink or eat something like 2 hrs before bed time. For me is burping, it takes a while for me to burp so if i lay down the same thing hapens and i have to walk around my house and pad my stomach to be able to burp and then im fine.

I took a nap one day after lunch, and the same thjng happened to me. So weird. I thought if was because my stomach was full and the stomach acid/food was coming out. It was yuck!
