1. U know? That happens to me with EVERY caramel frap from mcdonalds but i can go to starbucks nd it sits very well in my stomach. I dont understand why.
Papas? Zanahorias?
4. At walmart they have frozen salmon. I used to make that in the frying pan but with PAM nd a little bit of butter nd onions. Boil some eggs nd potatoes, i would mix it all together nd add olive oil, but u dont have to mix it, that was just me. It goes down very good too.
5. When did u have ur surgery?
6. Yes. Sometimes even one month.
7. I feel very good the only thing is i still struggle with water and protein. Other than that, i eat everything and anything. I think that as long as u dont over do it its fine.
8. Im boricua and live in fayetteville nc. I had my surgery a year ago and these are my results
9. Walmart has chocolate powdered muscle milk, its pretty good. U can use 6-8 oz soy milk or 1% milk and add one scoop powder. Each powder scoop has 32 grams of protein. If too thick for you just add more milk. Im a year out and have the same issue with the protein so i feel weak and my hair is still falling out but now im using this powder, hopefully it gets better.
10. Yo me hice mi cirugia 4/17/12. Me acuedo que en la etapa del puree mi mama me hacia sopas lipton con papas, zanahorria y las pasaba por la licuadora. Siempre y cuando las sopas sean healthy te las puedes comer asi por que lo q importa es q sea puree.
11. I thought i read somewhere in one of the forums it was worst, boy they werent lying. What worried me the most was the pain on my shoulders cause i never had that with the wls, thx for your responses.
12. It was lap. I do tgink its gas but i didnt feel any of this with my wls. This is much worse than the wls to me.
13. I had my wls on 4/17/12 and i just had my gallbladder removed yesturday. Im having a lot more pain than when i had wls, is this normal? I have awfull pain on the top of my shoulder blades, it really hurts. Has anybody gone through this? I wish i could find a way to make it better. Also, what did u eat when u had this sx?
14. I must admit mine was the worst pain ever. Ive had 3 kids, one of them 10 lbs natural birth and i rather go through that than the VSG. Let me refrase that, the hernia repair is what did if for me. I woke up after sx with awful pain in my esophagus. It felt like if i had a tennis ball stretchin my esophagus and wouldnt go down. As for the actual VSG i really didnt have any problems the only thing was that i dry heaved so much i couldnt control my bladder and peed on myself uncontrolably even in the hallway so they ended up putting a diaper on me, fun. But, i never took pain meds when i left the hospital, it wasnt that bad as for the VSG pain.
15. Have u tried muscle milk?
16. Im 11 months post op and have the same problem burping. I dont think thats gonna get any better, at least for me i dont think it will.
17. Shampoo your hair and add baking soda to it while washing. If you need conditioner only use it on the ends.
18. I get that A LOT, When i drink or eat something like 2 hrs before bed time. For me is burping, it takes a while for me to burp so if i lay down the same thing hapens and i have to walk around my house and pad my stomach to be able to burp and then im fine.
19. Thank you. Im 5'5 and to be honest i eat anything i want, if i want it, i eat it. I have stopped loosing weight, not that i want to loose anymore. All i have to do is start excersising because i didnt even do that after surgery, walked a little but thats it.
20. I was sleeved on 4/17/12 and my starting weight was 217, today im 136.
