    NutriBullet Extractor

I also have a nutribullet. I got it for Christmas last year and I used it for Breakfast everyday with Protein until I was sleeved on 7/24/13. I still use it for Protein shakes and I plan on using it in the morning again with protein. What I used for breakfast was flax seed, baby carrots, half an apple and banana and a little spinach. I used unjury unflavored protein and it really tasted great. I plan on doing it for more meals also because I can eat vegetables and just take protein. I really like using the nutribullet. I used it so much I wore out the extractor blade. I bought the additional 2 year warranty and it is wise to do they will replace any part that wears out for free so go for it and be creative with what you extract ok? Mark, Edmond Ok

    flatbread pizza

Made another one today for lunch, used marinara sauce, provolone cheese, red, yellow bell peppers and onions, all sliced paper thin. Finished off the top with grated mozzerella cheese and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Tashed as good as the first one.

    Baked Flounder or Tilapia

Get yourself some 5 spice and bake the tilapia with that seasoning. Cooks.com has the recipie my wife and I loved it. I also bake flounder and tilapia by dredgine the fish in a beat up egg, then sprinkle with seasoned panko bread crums. Bake it in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Both taste great this way.
  7. I am so happy. I am nine weeks post op. I have lost 65 pounds. I am a new person, people always tell me how good I lookI so happy, no more bp meds, chlosterol meds, no more insulin pump (I still use a little Insulin) but that should to away soon. I am so happy and feel so good. I just wanted to tell the group and thank you all for your support. Mark Thomas
  8. I know that we are not supposed to eat nothing but low fat cheese and cottage cheese. But really as little as we all eat now just how bad is eating just regular cheese? I'm afraid to ask my nutritionist.

    Wonton wrappers!

I think I am going to make chicken enchiladas with egg roll wrappers. I will put shredded chicken, cheese. Wrap them up in the wrapper and place in a baking dish. Then I will pour enchilada sauce over them and bake. I think that they will be pretty good. I will let you all know. I also will make southwester egg rolls (modified) no corn since I cannot have it yet but I will spray them with olive oil and bake them. Then make a nice chipoltle dipping sauce. Can't wait.

    Long "Spaghetti noodles"!

I to bought one of these guys and I tried to make zucinni noodles. They were not what I expected but I did it right over the pan into the fire. Did you allow the noodles to dry a bit before you used them? I think that would help. I also thought about putting them into a very low temp oven and allow them to dry for awhile before cooking with them. Mine just came out so wimpy nad wet. I would like to make them better and I hope you can help. If you would, would you email me at mthomas62@cox.net and give me some help please. I really do miss pasta.

    Protein Fatigue

I had Dr. Hamilton Le at Integris in OKC. He was a great surgeon and I have had no problems at all. Who was your surgeon?
  15. Well it seemed like it took forever but tomorrow I start back on regular food. I finally get to eat a 1/2 cup of food. I don't know why that measly 1/4 cup of food made me always go "is that all?" I just wanted to thank all of my sleevers on this site for giving me inspiration to get to this stage. Thank you all so much. Mark Thomas, Edmond Oklahoma
  16. That's what I am getting at. An ounce of real cheese big woop. Some of the low fat cheeses are kind of nasty

    Egg muffins

I made these this morning. I just used 3 eggs some american cheese, some mozzerella cheese and some turkey sausage. Baked them at 350 for 24 minutes. They came out golden brown and just beautiful. My loved them so much she wants another one in the morning. They were a little dry for me so I will put a little more water in the egg mixture or maybe some pace mild salsa. I may also cook them for about two minutes less. Needless to say these are real keepers. Thanks so much for the recipie.

    Well Poo :(

glycerin suppositories, mini enimas, coffee and those those things work. But I still have to do something external in order to have a BM. Once I am on solid foods, the bran cerial sounds like a good idea.

    Ready to call ot quits

Maybe when the scales are not friendly, why don't you get out your fat clothes and try them on. Also you should have a tape measure to use to check your progress. It isn't all about pounds its about inches. I thought I had stalled but today I put on a 3x shirt that I could wear for years and it swamped me. So worry about weight loss, Your already sleeved, don't one of those people I see that pork out and tell that "yeah I had that surgery to but I guess I fell off the wagon a little". Its like at my support group meeting if you want to spend up to 11,000 dollars to throw in the towel but what a waste of your time and your health care providers if you just quit. Go to your nutritionist and talk to them. Do you use my fitnell pal to track your carbs, calories and protein. If you haven't start. Look at your history and see what that tells you. Please don't give up there is way too much to lose.
  20. I have been on my liquid diet for about 2.5 weeks and I have ran of of creative ways to make somethng other that protein powders and soups. Does anyone have any suggestions for something savory????
  21. Well yesterday was my one month anniversary of getting my sleeve. For four days I stalled at 301 (I was 331 on the day of surgery. Well I weighed myself this morning and I am at 296! I finallly am under 300 pounds. I have not been there in years. My 46 pants are falling off of me and I am on 1/8 my regular dose of BP meds. I checked my BP this morning and my BP was 90/56. I think I will be completely off the BP meds this week. I can't wait to see what my cholesterol it. I have only had problems with constipation. I just had a BM after over a week. Does anyone have a recommendation on what laxative they take which does the job but does not cause severe cramping? Thanks, Mark

    Protein Fatigue

My protein goal is 92 grams a day and I admit that I have missed it lately. It is not all the time but I use My Fitness Pal and ran a report last night on my protein intake and several times I was only at about 45 grams. I know the days that it happened was when I was with my wife in the hospital and doctors appoiintments. So I am going to make a concentrated effort to get in all of my protein goals I am only a little over 3 weeks out and I am on the mushy phase so I cannot eat protein bars and such yet so protein is not as portable as I would like it to be. But I will just have to do it. So thank you for writing., Mark

    July 2013 Sleevers

I to was sleeved on July 24 and lately I have really been tired. I also get light headed when I walk. I read in the manual given to me by my doctor and found out that I could be having protein fatigue. So I am going to bulk up on the protein and hopefully it will go away. I was feeling so energized but now that I am on 4 to 6 weeks of mushy foods at 1/4 cup each I just don't think I am getting enough food. But the rules are the rules. The bad think is my nut and nurse are both going out on maternity leave. That doesn't give me a very good support staff. Frankly I'm a little concerned.

    July 2013 Sleevers

I got sleeved on the 24th of July and I have lost 30 pounds. My only problem is I have episodes when I am really really tired. I don't know why but when I'm like that I don't feel like doing anything. Hopefully as time goes on this will pass but I am perfectly happy with my decision and I'm not looking back. Got to go out and hit the thrift stores for some smaller levis. And I have to but a new notch in my belt.
