Wow that is so scary!!

I'm not sleeved yet but I feel as with anything in life you need t let go of the negativity and stick with as much positives as you can. If your friends are aware of how you feel and what they say make you uncomfortable, I'd take a few steps back from them. You don't need that negativity. If the acknowledge you are upset and they are true friends they will change what they say to you. It's all about you. This is your life, sometimes you need to leave those that don't belong in it

I'm from south jersey (cherry hill). I'm having surgery at Jefferson in Philly April 2nd

I have a bmi of 40. No other issues (as of yet). Ive never been able to loose weight except being in horrible diet pills that make me feel like a drug addict. And even with that Id only loose 10 and gain 20. My whole entire life. I have a wonderful life besides being depressed about my weight. I don't see my friends often or go out often because I am embarrassed. I have wasted so much money on big ugly clothes. I don't want to try any new activities with my husband, who is very active. I don't do things I love because of my weight. So for me my quality of life is not what is should be and never has... Because of my weight. That's why I am choosing to have surgery and using it as a tool to get me where is like to be. I wish you luck in deciding what's best for you.

That's awesome. I have been heavy my whole life.ive told basically everyone i talk to about my surgery. My parents are most against it. I've tried to hide how much being overweight has effected me my whole life. I know what you mean in wanting to wait until you have the date set. My dad asked me a hundred times if I'm sure I want to do this. I can't wait to have it done!

Less than 2 days I found out I was approved

With my insurance it says I needed 6 months of attempted weight loss by a doctor supervision. I didn't I had 4 months documented by my doc and they weren't even consecutive. I stalked insurance by calling them constantly lol. I found out in less than 2 days

Good luck! Mine is being submitted tomorrow. They say I will know in 48 hrs once submitted. I'm so afraid they will tell me I need to wait 6 months.
