I just got my call for tomorrow. Surgery at 1:30pm. Eeek...exciting and nervous at the same time!

I am feeling the same way with 11 days to go. I am not going overboard but I am enjoying a few "last" meals that I know I probably won't eat ever again. I have not gained any weight though. Good luck, it will be here before we know it!

The six months really does go fast. I feel like I just started the process and my surgery is in 11 days! Good luck to you!

My pre-op diet is the same as yours. Liquids the day before. At first, I was worried since it seems everyone else has a 1 or 2 week diet but now I see it as a blessing. Good luck to you!

I feel the same way. I go back and forth each day but I never doubt that I will go through with it. 15 days for me!!!

I only had to do a 5 month wait but it will be 6 months since my seminar (required by the hospital)when I have my surgery on July 26th. At the beginning it seems so far away but it really did go by super fast. Use your 6 months to get as prepared as you can. Good Luck!

My insurance required a 5 month diet before they would approve me for surgery. I had to attend a "Lifestyles" class once a month and get weighed in. I had my first class in February and finished up in June. I am scheduled for surgery on July 26th...15 days! EEK! I was told that most insurances (at least here in Pittsburgh) require a 3-6 month pre-op diet. Good luck on your journey. No matter your wait time, it really does go fast. Focus on getting prepared for this major life change.
