Low BMI of 38 would you do the surgery or have you done the sleeve?
I had a 32 BMI no comordities, no insurance coverage. I tried many times, lost, but only to regain. I wanted a more perm solution. Yes, bad things can happen but 90% have no major complications. I would do it. Mary

I'm back at the Marriott now. One weird side effect for me is my eyesight is shot. Distance which is always ok s good, but near is very blurry so hard to read the forums. Good luck, we all get a little nervous a few days out because it becomes REAL. It is OK. But, do a process check of why you are doing this ... to become healthier long-term to live a long healthy life for you and your children. Mary- Energy levels
I went back to work within 6 days of the surgery. I work a pretty high-stress desk job. The first week I pretty much worked my normal 10-12 hour days. But, I would crash as soon as I got back to the hotel. Yeah, I travel to a client site (out of state) for work. Yesterday, I left at 5pm (super early for me), but I was up at 5 am, and went back to the hotel and slept from 6:30 to 4:30. I had to skip a leads meeting that started at 6:15 pm becuase I just couldn't make it. It was a really high stress day. Employee is screwing up left and right and I had to read her the riot act and listen to excuse after excuse. I am hoping for a better day to today. I am thinking of trying taking B12 twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon. I am open to any suggestions to beef up my energy late in the afternoon. But, then again, maybe my body just needs rest and I need to listen to it. Mary- one week out n starting to worry
Are you taking antacids? I hear that helps with people who have hunger pains early on. My Doc prescribed two weeks of them. Mary- Taco soup

Just tell them you are on another "diet" and thought this might be helpful way of keeping you motivated. it is true and if you are like me, they are used to being on a diet "of the month". Mary- Self Pay Questions!
The center that I went to received an Internatioal Center of Excellence, which has to meet the same standards as a Center of Excellence in the United States. There were 2 nurses there getting procedures. Both said that OCC had better care then facilities they have worked at in the United States. And, OCC was cleaner too. Mary- I cant believe ive done it! Im sleeved!
Congrats, and welcome to the Loser's Bench!- Fun visual ways to track weight loss
Thank you, I went to Hobbey Lobbey and bought dazzle beads. They were so small I did one for each 2/10 of a lb lost per BMI scale. I made one for my bathroom and one for work. Mary- Self Pay Questions!
The MX prices include hospital / clinic (1-3 nights) and 1-4 nights in a hotel and the shuttles. The number of nights in each of the facilities depends on the group you are going with and what procedure you are getting (revision, VSG, Plication, Lap-band, etc.) Thus, you can spend the first 3 or so days if you like where someone else is taking care of you and you can spend the time truly relaxing and recouping. Mary- Constipation
I am only 1.5 weeks out but have been having a BM (sometimes 2 x) every day since full liquids. I attribute it to drinking / eating butternut squash or split pea soup with 1/2 serving of unjury unflavored protein once or twice a day. I also drink coconut water, which some say helps make you go.- Nearly ready to go!
Sending healing vibes to both of you. Mary- So many questions about Mexico
