1 month out
I am 2 months post op, and I have the same thing going on. It's just that we can't eat like we used to. You will learn to listen to your stomach and towards the last bites it will say hey I'm full already. Don't feel like you have to finish something. I get the worst feeling when I take one bite to many and when I eat to fast, which I have yet to perfect at a slower pace. I usually will take my walk after dinner to help it digest.

4 weeks post op and depressed.
Man I really feel for ya:( That's sucks that no one from that office is on same page. I never heard that the first month doesn't count?WTF! Seems like you are doing very good. Each person and body is so very different, don't let that get you down, and demand to see your Dr, not the RNs. Keep up the good work. Your body will tell you when its lost enough weight. Then you'll just have to work on maintaining. Good luck:) Your on your way to a healthier life:)

Subs
I am 8 weeks post op. I bought the Kirkland brand multi grain flat rounds . I toasted it and made chicken salad, put a tomato slice and two slices of avocado It was the first sandwich I had since before surgery, ate 3/4 of it and it tasted damn good. No problems after:) I think the key is to toast it so its not doughy.

hair for surgery day
Try French braid or reg. Braid of hair not long enough bring scrunchies so after surgery you can put up. You tend to be warm from pain meds. At least I get pretty hot period. So having hair up does help.

Period after Surgery
I had my first period start right in the recovery room:( was very normal but a week early. I think the stress of surgery started it. I had my next one exactly on time, but noticed its very dark now for a few days, them turns more of the brighter red. Now I am just finishing my third period on time, but bleed pretty heavy for 4 days and still really dark. Mot sure why the. color change. But mostly normal and on time. I am 8 weeks post. Just hope I don't lose the hair..

Costco/Trader Joe Shopping list
Costco's great for their frozen salmon. Comes individually packaged, and one piece is two meals for me. The tilapia comes the same way . Great products

Venting-breakdown today
Give yourself a couple more weeks before your go trying on your tighter clothes. Some people have a lot more swelling than others. Just give your body a chance to heal. You'll have plenty of happy moments with your clothes:)

WHAT TO EXPECT PAIN WISE AFTER SURGERY?PLZ INFORM ME..
- WHAT TO EXPECT PAIN WISE AFTER SURGERY?PLZ INFORM ME..
I agree with Takingcontrol. I had very little surgical pain, but did have a little gas pain the first few days. Just try and get up and walk around, that will help get the gas out of your belly. If all goes well with surgery, you should only have pain or discomfort for a few days. But remember everyone is different and each surgery is different, so just stay positive and focused.- Kaiser approved?!
With Kaiser, it will be when you finally see the Dr, or his nurse practitioner. Your pretty much guaranteed once you start all your pre stuff. Nine classes though, I didn't have that much? - WHAT TO EXPECT PAIN WISE AFTER SURGERY?PLZ INFORM ME..
