I am 2 months post op, and I have the same thing going on. It's just that we can't eat like we used to. You will learn to listen to your stomach and towards the last bites it will say hey I'm full already. Don't feel like you have to finish something. I get the worst feeling when I take one bite to many and when I eat to fast, which I have yet to perfect at a slower pace. I usually will take my walk after dinner to help it digest.
  2. I got mine to and they are in bottles with a few more oz. We sure can't complain about for the price! Yipee:)
  3. What is bodybug?
  4. Mine came open two weeks out. Dr said some triple antibiotic ointment was fine, but to not cover. Let it try and rescab. Mine healed up fine.
  5. Thanks:)
  6. I had to use a suppository,Dulcolax. Works really really well and fast:)
  7. Where do you get assets?
  8. Refried Beans, cottage cheese, mashed potato, ground turkey, scrambled eggs, cr of wheat
  9. I just ate lightly, had a Chinese chicken salad for Dinner, npo after midnight. You should be fine. The food digests out of your stomach by morning.
  10. What is the sleep study for or do? I didn't have that. Just blood work and ekg. I have Kais er.
  11. I had to lose 20# before my Dr would schedule surgery. Started in Oct. 2012.and hit 20# Dec8 check in. So surgery was Jan 14.
  12. Man I really feel for ya:( That's sucks that no one from that office is on same page. I never heard that the first month doesn't count?WTF! Seems like you are doing very good. Each person and body is so very different, don't let that get you down, and demand to see your Dr, not the RNs. Keep up the good work. Your body will tell you when its lost enough weight. Then you'll just have to work on maintaining. Good luck:) Your on your way to a healthier life:)

I am 8 weeks post op. I bought the Kirkland brand multi grain flat rounds . I toasted it and made chicken salad, put a tomato slice and two slices of avocado It was the first sandwich I had since before surgery, ate 3/4 of it and it tasted damn good. No problems after:) I think the key is to toast it so its not doughy.
  14. Try French braid or reg. Braid of hair not long enough bring scrunchies so after surgery you can put up. You tend to be warm from pain meds. At least I get pretty hot period. So having hair up does help.
  15. I had my first period start right in the recovery room:( was very normal but a week early. I think the stress of surgery started it. I had my next one exactly on time, but noticed its very dark now for a few days, them turns more of the brighter red. Now I am just finishing my third period on time, but bleed pretty heavy for 4 days and still really dark. Mot sure why the. color change. But mostly normal and on time. I am 8 weeks post. Just hope I don't lose the hair..

I have been hitting our local thrift stores, your right its not worth buying full priced clothes yet until were close to our goal. Hate to spend $50 bucks on a pair of jeans that are gonna be baggy in a month. plus the support group I go to has a clothes swap:)
  17. I haven't had any problems, so far I can eat everything I've tried the only thing I haven't tried is salad, but I am dying for a great salad. Maybe soon.
  18. Costco's great for their frozen salmon. Comes individually packaged, and one piece is two meals for me. The tilapia comes the same way . Great products
  19. Wow! 196# you sure don't look like that weight. You look awesome keep up the good work:)
  20. Congrats! Keep up the good work. Looking good:)
  21. Give yourself a couple more weeks before your go trying on your tighter clothes. Some people have a lot more swelling than others. Just give your body a chance to heal. You'll have plenty of happy moments with your clothes:)
  22. Good luck! Hope you get surgery soon:)
  23. I agree with Takingcontrol. I had very little surgical pain, but did have a little gas pain the first few days. Just try and get up and walk around, that will help get the gas out of your belly. If all goes well with surgery, you should only have pain or discomfort for a few days. But remember everyone is different and each surgery is different, so just stay positive and focused.
  24. With Kaiser, it will be when you finally see the Dr, or his nurse practitioner. Your pretty much guaranteed once you start all your pre stuff. Nine classes though, I didn't have that much?
