Hi Pammie, I haven't had my surgery yet but I truly understand what you are feeling. I am super super nervous but I keep telling myself to KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE!! I'm not sure if my anxiety is the actual surgery or becoming a whole new me. It's scary either way but I keep telling myself that I'm doing the right thing despite what I feel at this moment. My suggestion though it may be hard is to look at the bigger picture and focus on all the things you will be able to do really soon. Surgery is just a small part of it. Relax, relate and release. Find some thing to occupy your time so you don't have time to focus so much on what's coming. I had to do the same thing because I stayed on this forum 90 miles going west and I was starting to freak myself out. I REALLY hope this helps...GOOD LUCK to you!!!

Thanks you guys!! I see we all share that common concern of the vitamin deficiency and dump syndrom. I think I'm going to go with my ORIGINAL decision and SLEEVE it.....you ALL were a great help!!

I recently had my first dr's appt and the nurse suggested the bypass over the sleeve for me because of my co-morbidites. I'm not too sure how I feel about that. I am a little nervous with doing the bypass due to the whole re-routing thing so I'm curious with your weightloss being more than 200lbs what your deciding factor was.

I'm in Frederick BUT I have family in the Landover, Upper Marlboro area (I'm from down that way)

SO! I had my first drs appointment yesterday and I was all GUNG HO to go with the sleeve UNTIL the nurse suggested the bypass due to my BMI...HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM now I don't know what I want to do. They both seem good but I am so totally confused right now..........HELP!!
