  1. STITCHES?? I had 5 little incisions and NO pain what so ever!! I must have been very blessed. I also had the liquid pain meds but never had to use them (THANK GOD!!). Sorry you are in so much pain. I hope it's over soon!
  2. It depends on your insurance requirements. I didn't have to do a supervised weight loss program. I went to the program on July 17th. Did all the required testing and submitted my paperwork. Got a response back in LESS than 24 hours (Aug 23rd), saw the doctor for my final consult Aug 29th and had surgery Sept 4th. Each insurance is different. GOOD LUCK!!

  5. I work the mid shift but I try to do a yogurt first thing in the morning or protein drink since I'm thirstier. It works for me!

I experienced the vomitting when I ate something my new tummy was not fond of like EGGS! or when I ate something before it was time...I wanted to see what was tolerable and found very early that everything is better in stages!! It's alot better now but it will happen if I eat something untolerable, too fast or drink too soon after eating. So I wait at least 45 mins to an hour.
  10. YES! I saw that on our local menu!! I've been eating the hot and sour soup...I LOVE IT!! Didn't think I would like tofu as much but I LOVE that too!! I don't mind the steamed veggies...thanks for all the feed back!!

  12. OK! So I'm a HUGE fan of egg fu yung of ANY kind! Has anyone tried it post surgery?? Or are there any recipes...Also what point did you bring crackers or break back into your diet??
  13. OMG!! ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN A BROKEN SHAKE! My tummy is on REJECT with those so I'm looking for other things to eat. I can't drink or eat the same thing too much because my tummy won't like it anymore but I've been CRAVING tacos....YUMMO!! I'm def gonna try that pumpkin bake!! THANKS!!

  15. I don't mind watching to food shows...I just think "ONE DAY! I will be able to eat that AGAIN.....just not as much"!
  16. I'm 4 weeks post op and I wasn't nervous at all and I had a WONDERFUL experience!! Hot liquids and a heating pad was my BEST FRIEND!! Do plenty of walking and use that heating pad! It made my gas BAREABLE!! GOOD LUCK!

  18. ME!! I started out being able to tolerate chicken but NOW...NOPE! It comes back with a vengance! I can't even eat egss...and I LOVE eggs! I can eat beef and pork though without ANY problems! I LOVE chicken..I hope one day we can be friends again...SIGH!
