  1. I'm drinking the EAS carb control chocolate shake. I have to do a 2 week pre-op liquid diet (SUCKS).... I can only tolerate the premade ones because the smell of the power makes me nauseated. If I can mix it with broth and other things...I can survive!!
  2. I would rather NOT eat a thing than to have to live through these horrid runny bowels that this protein shake is giving me...OMG (sorry TMI)!! I think I'm going to get some gateraid and broth because I cannot take another minute of this. What did you drink during your pre-op diet that made it easier? Funny thing is I'm not even hungry I just want to make sure I'm putting something in my stomach.
  3. I started my pre-op diet 3 days ago and that is EXACTLY what I tell myself...YOU CAN DO THIS! I find myself on the computer, reading...doing anything but thinking about food! I'm finding this is a mind over matter thing and my MIND WILL WIN!! Chew some gum or take a nice long walk but don't let food WIN AGAIN!! GOOD LUCK!
  4. there is a forum for pregnancy and you'll see on there that people are 2 months out and 6 weeks pregnant...It should be your choice (although the drs say wait)....Try and see what happens. GOOD LUCK!
  5. Got word this morning @ 9:15am from my surgical cordinator who submitted by paperwork yesterday that I was APPROVED!! Words can't even express my feelings right now! I started my liquid diet (and it's not that bad!!)....it's all in your mind! I keep reminding myself that this is for THE BEST so I'm not loosing anything. You only want something you can't have when you're told that you can't have...I'm just saying NOT RIGHT NOW!! GOOD LUCK to my fellow sleevers that are waiting...YOUR TIME IS COMING!! This is going to be THE best birthday EVER!!!
  6. OH MY WORD!! I'm scheduling that appointment as I type!!
  7. I have totally cut anyone that has become a NEGATIVE NANCY!! I'm trying to better myself and I don't need to hear THEIR opinions of what THEY think I should do. Sometimes you just have to listen to your inner self and if that doesn't stir you wrong....I don't need any additional outsiders! GOOD LUCK!! Go with YOUR gut feelings and it will all work out!
  8. OMG! THAT IS AMAZING NEWS! CONGRATS TO YOU AND YOUR HUBBY ON YOUR NEW ADDITION!

  10. I have UHC as well and you must have a BMI of 35 and 2 co-mobidities and you must complete a 6 month supervised died. I would call and check with them though becuase every plan is different (my plan didn't have any restrictions). GOOD LUCK!
  11. every doctor has their own set of rules. BEFORE I saw the actual doctor I was weighed, bp tested, talked to a nut, account manager and THEN the doctor came in so it depends on the dr procedure. You may want to ask what happens after your initial appointment to get the feel of things. GOOD LUCK
