i have been stressing overing getting my EGD for weeks. had it this morning..ended up being a breeze!!!!! a large hiatal hernia was found sooo the surgery price is cut in half

haha yeah thats what a lot of people say..well thats ok! as long as he gets the job done the right way i can handle not being his bff..LOL

6 weeks of liquids???? damn!! lol i guess better safe than sorry? lol did you see him after surgery? thats what i'm reading most people complain about

i had my initial consultation with Dr Kim today. has anyone had surgery with him?

Yeah i'm basically out of luck..the united health care wont help me...sooo i'm considered self pay...the surgery is 11,800 but i'm going in a few weeks to be put to sleep and check for any hernias if i have one (which i actually hope i do) my price will be knocked down to 6,000...keeping my fingers crossed

well my happiness has dwindled...they called me back and said they made a mistake i do have an exclusion for wls they said they can see if i have a hiatal hernia which they say 95% of patients do..if thats the case the price would drop to 5,000. i'm so bummed out now!

i spoke with insurance this morning..she said they will cover it depending on the codes the doctors use for billing..good news!

hey! I'm thinking of making the leap and getting the sleeve. was originally going to get the band but after really reading about both decided the sleeve is the better option for me. i have united health care do you think they will cover my surgery? i do have a BMI over 40
