May walking challenge
Yikes Tammy! yeah, here at Camp Maggot will give you a PT pass! ((((((hugs))))) I will have to wait until Friday when I get paid to get a new pedomiter. (I'm a student on a *very* fixed income) This will be my 4th since December... Perhaps I'm breaking them on purpose?

Just shoot me!
When was the last time you had a professional body fat mesaurement taken? It may be that your fat% is right where it should be. I know that you said your surgeon said you had at least 15 pounds of skin that will go when you have your procedures done. Throw your scale off Lisa's balcony, have that professional body fat test done, and have your plastic surgury! I know you have been agaonizing for months over this. (((hugs))) Time to act!

Hair loss..Need advice from the experinced
Part of the dreded hair is due to the trama of the surgery, not a nutrishinal issue. Just about any time the body has something tramatic to it, it will drop some "useless" function, like hair. A couple weeks out of my surgery I started to loose my hair like crazy, and yes, I was more than a little freaked out. But the same thing happened to me after all my surgeries. It grows back, yes it does!

what food do you miss?
I am currently missing my fried egg sandwiches with a glass of milk. I've never been much of a milk drinker (I was raised by wolves...), but there is just something about the combination of this sandwich and a glass of milk....

Skin rash...
I had issues with the tape and glue, but I have very sensitve skin. My skin was irritated for weeks, infact the extra redness just disaperared/faded this last week. Could the itchies be the normal itchies from healing? I had that too. Some people itch more during this phase than others, and at 3 weeks, I was itchy too, but I know that is normal for me.

Nausea and medication questions
Hi KellyK, I've only been nausious once since having my band installed, and it had nothing to do with my band. I have yet to have a PB or a slime attack. I have had food and meds get "stuck" though. That was just a bit painful. I haven't noticed nausia being a big problem for bandsters on this board. Maybe y'all need to hang out here instead? When I need Imatrex I always have it injected, so that isn't an issue for me. I take one med that requires it to be taken with food, so you know that has to be annoying to the pouch. after I take the meds, I try to always drink a big glass of Water to wash it out of my pouch.

Denied a 2nd time
(((((((((((((((Christina!))))))))))))))))) And what the hell does "in a row" mean anyway? And you are one of the low BMI folks too. I'm sooo sorry! Yeah, insurance companies have turned agravation into an art form. This is my stupid insurance company example: I was driving home from my folks' place when I noticed the back door wasn't shut all the way, I got out, put my hand on the door to push it shut and somehow in the process I hurt a tenden in my thumb. I went to the DR, she refered me to a hand specilaist, but it too 2 months for them to approve the request. When I fianlly did get in to see him, he said I should have been in a cast. To add insult to the injury, the insurance company denied my claim, saying it was a CAR ACCIDENT and that I would have to have it paid by the car insurance policy. That insurance company just laughed at me. I forget how I finally paid the bill, but still! I can only imagine how frustrated and pissed off you are. (((((((((((((((((hugs!)))))))))))))

things to never do...
Hey Char, I was back at school in a week. I was very tired for a couple of weeks myself, so I took it very easy. I had my band installed over spring break. I'm still not comefortable in the desks, but by next fall, look out for the new and improved me! This week is "dead week" then finals, then home for the summer!

Day 10 and all of a sudden starving?
Hey Nygrl, you probably had edema (swelling) around your stomach from the surgery, and now that the edema has gone you are hungry. Perfectly nomal. I hope that answers your question.

banded 10 days ago and still feeling so strange on left side??
It's ok NYgrl, this is the place to come and vent your worries. We won't brush them off. You probably still have a lot of gas issues going on. I know that many people here have had real issues with gas. I know that when I have gas issues, sometimes I get that same "baby in the belly" feeling. In addition to the gas, you are still very swollen from the surgery--your innerds are probably still in a panic. You just had major surgery and now you have extra "stuff" for your body to worry about. And as for feeling like you have a big ball, it might be your port as Corgi suggested. I know my port is 4 fingers wide.

Just banded YESTERDAY and in HORRIBLE pain!
Hi Starbright, my banding was smooth as silk. The worst pain I had was from menstral cramps. My DH only had some swelling issue, but no real pain.

COMPLETELY off topic, but I need some advice....
Oh, there is also the language thing.. I think it sounds like you already know what is best! I think it is a wonderful idea to take a break for a while. After my first marriage broke up I took some time off to figure out who I was as just "Crystal." Not "Crystal and boyfriend." It was one of the best things I ever did for myself. It gave me time to figure out what I wanted, as opposed to what the collected relationship wanted. Or needed for that matter. You are entering a new phase of your life, and it may be worth the investigation. After all, if it really is the real thing with Sergio, he will wait. If he doesn't, well, you didn't want him anyway.
