First appt. with Doctor he said I had to quit smoking... I left there and thought life was over. I was so upset... BUT I put it in my head that if I truly wanted a healthier me smoking would go. I quit Nov 15th and haven't looked back! Best thing I've ever done ( other than this surgery) It is hard as hell but very much worth it! Stay strong and believe in yourself... YOU GOT THIS!!!

Drink gallons of Water... Piss often and keep drinking DO NOT eat anything!!! Good luck! I only had 5 days to prepare and should have been on 2 week liquid - I drank so much water and of course my Protein. Lost 12 lbs in 5 days Would not recommend this always follow Doctors orders!

Yes but didn't say how long till it started coming off... And one is driving me crazy!

Hello! Did/Does anyone get clue on the cuts the Doctor made? Mine are itching like hell! How long before it starts falling off or do you eventually pull it off?????

Recovery has been too easy... Took pain meds first 3 days. Not losing weight yet still same from pre op. Not getting all my fluids in but sure am trying!

Having a hard time getting all fluids and Protein in.... I started my phase 2 today milk based and tummy was very upset - had first BM so not sure what's going on, I will try again tomorrow. Sleeved 12-31

First of all congratulations to everyone!!!! You all are doing amazing!!!! Before liquid diet I was 229.6 Right before surgery 218 I weighed myself today and it said 218 - 4 days post op DAMN scale must be wrong!!!! Haha Doctors appt on the 8th hopefully, I get some good news!

Wow that is amazing! I can't wait to be at that stage! I love clothes but bring able to walk into any store and buy any thing! You go girl! Congrats on everything, get to the gym and start that exercising!

Good Morning Everyone! Day 4 post op I start my protein drinks phase 2 today! Can you guys tell me what you've found to be the best? Right now I have unjury chocolate milk, vanilla cake batter, and flavored chicken noodle soup. Which if I mix with water will give me 30 something grams protein... I having a very hard time getting in all the fluids. So what is your favorite drinks, how do mix, add ins? Any tips would be appreciated! !

2nd day home I'm feeling pretty good! Gas started passing this morning when I woke up! Been walking around the house, walking outside, and only had to take pain meds twice! Having a hard time getting my fluids in also after I drink my tummy gets a little hurt... Tomorrow I start milk, yogurt, etc! Hopefully, I can tolerate it well.

Hey! I was nervous up till the morning of surgery! I actually had a breakdown and just thought do I really want this life changing surgery? But thinking about the amazing stories I've read on this forum I got super excited! Just following the per-op diet! First day I woke up wasn't bad, day 2 was horrible, today is day 3 and I'm up walking around reading all my books to much I'm keeping hydrated!

Ok surgery went amazing only lasted 30 mins because liver was amazing! Yesterday was pretty painful but woke up burping and farting a lot so much of the gas pain is passing!

I'm self pay as well... I have a lot of trust in my surgeon! He has had only one patient with a leak in 7 years of doing. I can just pray that The Lord gives everyone in the room perfection!

Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon and I am freaking out. I thought I would be super excited and I'm not! Did anyone have these feelings?

My surgery is also 12-31.... And yes I am freaking out!
