Good Morning Everyone! Day 4 post op I start my protein drinks phase 2 today! Can you guys tell me what you've found to be the best? Right now I have unjury chocolate milk, vanilla cake batter, and flavored chicken noodle soup. Which if I mix with water will give me 30 something grams protein... I having a very hard time getting in all the fluids.

I bought some PB2 (they have it at amazon) to mix with my shakes. It makes it tolerable.

I couldn't stand the taste of the unjury shakes, so I found EAS protein shakes, they are in Walmart, Shop rite supermarkets etc..and I've seen them on Amazon. I get the EAS chocolate (they also come in Vanilla, Cafe, Strawberry that I've seen) and there are 3 different kinds. EAS Myoplex which has 20 g protein, EAS Light, 17 g protein and EAS with 42 g of protein in it. The higher the protein, the thicker/richer the shake I found. The EAS 42 g of protein one was a god send to me because it helped me to get in half of my required protein in one drink. I like them cold, so I would sip it for a while mixed in a cup of ice. I find these to be very tasty and doesn't have a chalky taste at all. The only problem I've had now (and I'm 7 weeks out) is I'm eating regular meats now and I find the 42 gr protein shake to be too heavy for me now... Your body changes, but I will tell you for those first 5 weeks, they were a godsend to me! Got me through the liquid only and the soft stages very easily!

Good luck!
