I too went to Disney only in Florida and it was so nice to fit on every single ride, such a huge nonscale victory for me.... Isn't it an amazing feeling???
  2. All I can say is WOW at my preop appointment with my surgeon I was 274lbs and today I stepped on the scale I was 249lbs. My surgery was just over two weeks ago and I feel amazing. I go back to work tomorrow which is a little nerve racking because I know how important it is to get my water in and I'm a nurse on a busy med/surg unit, but I went from wearing a 3XL scrub to a 2XL scrub since surgery. I can't wait to wear scrubs that I haven't been able to get into in over a year. I can honestly say the worst part that I had was my first two days post op, other than that I have felt great. I'm excited to see what is going to happen as I continue my journey with my new sleeve and my new life....
  3. I too was sleeved on 2/5 I had more problems with gas yesterday than anything else. I find that if I take to big of a sip I get belly pain but if I take small sips i do better....
  4. I only have to do 48 hours of clear liquids so I start my clears on Sunday (good thing my favorite football team didn't make it to the super bowl....lol) I went to my pre-op class tonight and it was all information that has been driven into my head for the past year. I'm just ready for Tuesday to come and get this journey really started..... Good Luck to all of you as well I'm sure we'll all do great!!!!!
  5. OMG, my surgeon now has everything they need from my PCP which means I will be having my surgery on Tuesday 2/5 at 11am....I'm excited and nervous and a whole big ball of emotion I don't know what to do. I started my journey a year ago and never thought this day would actually come and now my surgery is just a few short days away!!!! I still feel like people judge you when you tell them you are having weight loss surgery, I know I'm only 36 and that I shouldn't have some of the issues I have with my knees and my back. I'm a nurse I should know better RIGHT???? I think the last time I was under 200lbs was 17 years ago right after I had my son. I want to be able to walk up and down my stairs without hearing my knee crunch with every step. I'm still young RIGHT??? I want to be able to go to an amusement park and go on the roller coasters without having to have my boobs crushed in the harness (I have had people do pushups off my chest to close the harness.....) I want to do so many things including going to a normal store and buy cute clothes instead of having to pay through the nose for clothes that don't look like something my grandmother would wear.....I'm so ready for this surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I went to my preop appointment today and I got my surgery date it's 2/5/13 OMG two weeks away..... I am a bundle of nerves and excitement right now. It is so close and after a year of going through nutrition classes and appointments I finally have the date. I'm trying to remember everything that I have read on here about things I need to make sure I bring with me and trying to remember that this will be so worth it once the weight comes off.....
  7. my preop is on the 23rd I haven't scheduled my surgery yet, but I'm hoping it will be soon after. Good luck to you on your up coming surgery idn two weeks, I'll be right behind you though.....

So happy the surgeon finally has everything they need pre-op appointment made for 1/23/13, I now see the light at the light at the end of the preop phase and begining of the operative phase
  9. I've tried the Isopure too, I think it is the smell that turns you off of it, it has that protein smell to it. Good luck to you both I can't wait till I have my date.....
  10. So I have seen my surgeon on 11/15, did all my pre-op testing and now I'm just fighting to get my surgeon all the test results!!! I want to schedule my surgeon before I syke myself out and not do it. I have been overweight most of my life and over the past two years I am the heaviest I have ever been. As everyone here I have tried so many things to lose weight and have become so depressed that nothing has worked. I'm a nurse and am on feet 12 hours a day and notice that my knees are starting to bother me more than normal and know that all this extra weight on my is not helping. I have heard great success stories from people who now someone who has had this story and really am ready to get this done.
