I forgot to write on here. I had my sleeve 12-12-12. I lost 95 lbs and went from a size 20 to a 5/6. I have never felt better in my life!!I still struggle with remembering my Vitamins but I am trying!! Keep up great work all you sleevers!! ( IF THAT IS EVEN A WORD!)

You don't want to get it done too early and loose more weight then have more loose skin. My doc said wait to be stable for 6 months before even thinking about a lift.. I'm not thinking about it anyway.. That operation makes me think of a scene out of the movie SAW.. lol I may change my mind if at goal I am unhappy. Who knows..

very true....it has only been 4 months post op for me BUT I hate looking at the enormous flabby of skin on my belly from 3 children and weight gain!!

I had such a tough time drinking. It was like it was taking forever to get drinks down. I did go to drinking tea and stuff soon. As for food I was so scared....I started mash potatoes soft foods...sounds crazy but even like a cheese puff cheeto dissolving in my mouth at first. It was like a baby learning texture again Just go slow. ..don't jump into steak lol

It is so normal! I had those feelings and still sometimes do but it does get easier!!! Keep up good work I promise it gets easier....feelings get better....and for a longtime I was sick with food and drinks but again I am almost 4 months out and I finally feel good!!!

Same problems here too. I'm 5.5 months out, down 75 and will be seeking the help of a plastic surgeon. I'm meeting with one next month, just to get the details on what needs to be done (and cost) so I can start saving now. Best of luck to you. I stalled out for a couple weeks too in month 4...don't worry. Stick to plan and you'll continue to lose.

I'm 4 months out also and you've lost a lot more than me. I'm ok with it though because every once in awhile a pound or two loss sneaks in and I'm good to go for a bit more. It's a life change and the longer I have to learn new ways is best for me
Hang in there and you may want o measure .. That could show loss also

I just have to brag a little...most my friends don't want to hear me go on and on so I will tell you all....I am 3 months today feeling so much better and also have lost 52#!!!! It feels so good to buy a 14-16 instead of 18-20. Most people in my small town know I had surgery but they don't compliment me much. I went to a party the other day out of town with people who had seen me in December before surgery. They went on and on about how I look....it felt amazing. I felt like a movie star for a short time! Anyways that's my brag now good luck and continue on to each and everyone out there!!!

I am 8 weeks this Wednesday and it has been 6 days of awesome days for me.....another words it took me 7 weeks. There is a light at end of tunnel...give it time. I now dont regret it at all....still a learning day by day process!! It helps me to get out and breathe fresh air....just opens up the mind!!! GOOD LUCK

I was sleeved on 12-11-12 and am down 53 lbs so ffar. I am following my guidelines and really don't count calories yet but eat 2 to 3 times a day and drink one Protein Drink. Good luck to everyone! :-)

Well Ive been reading lots of threads here lately. I guess well yes I know I did it to myself but after not eating like I should or drinking fluids after 6 weeks...I was hospitalized!!! Total dehydration...low potassium...no nutrients and hypoglycemic....6 days of hospital. Needless to say today (first day home) I am drinking lots and trying to eat!!! Just take it slow and easy everyone and follow doctors rules.....

i'm on the track, but the tunnel is nowhere in sight!!! lol it is a daily thing, every day is different. I'm having a hard time w/my changing taste buds. What used to be tolerated and good sometimes is awful and undigestable. Example? Applesauce. I used to eat the natural unsweet MOTT'S applesauce daily. Post op, wk3 I tried, it tasted weird and texture was ick! I just gave up and stuck to jello! I have reverted to my week 2/3 stage foods just to be able to eat/stomach some substanence! Sigh...it's a long road, but i'm on the wagon rolling along...keep your chin up and don't be afraid to take it slow. You have to go at your own body's pace (and tastes!) You're going to find your way, i know i'm still looking!

it took me a long time to get used to the liquid idea. I started with carnation Breakfast and fat free skim milk...2 drinks at a time...worked my way up from there, still having a struggle w/my daily Water. I'm always full feeling, or before I remember no drinking after eating, i have already eaten and have to wait!! >.<
Now, I"m trying to remember to drink my water BEFORE my meals, and then another round of water 20min AFTER.
it's a learning process for everyone...have faith and keep trying!!
