I know what you mean! I keep a variety of the Mio water flavors handy to mix it up. I have also been making iced tea using decaf tea bag and a mint tea bag... My taste bud's are definitely changing. Good luck!

Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

I work patrol nights. 6p to 6a.... Trying to get in a groove of regular workouts. My sergeant has been super supportive through my journey. He suggested putting my workouts on my calendar like I would any other commitment. Officially cleared for running, weights and the C25K program. Gonna start when I wake up later today! Have a great day!!

You're "normal". ;D. Each doctor has their own program. Mine emphasized fluids fluids fluids the first 4-5 days. If I could manage protein with nausea even better. I felt like I sip sip sipped constantly. And I WORRIED. I am 17 days out and just Friday night realized "hey I am taking more normal sized drinks". Slow and steady wins the race! If I don't pay attention and take a pre surgery "gulp" my stomach quickly reminds me and therefore there have only been a few! Keep on rocking it and stay motivated.

I'm in!! 2 1/2 weeks post op.... Did Day 1 Week 1 on the treadmill; No incline and more of an airborne shuffle that a true jog... Gonna focus probably on Week 1 for a few weeks when my endurance has built and I am a little further out from surgery! I will say, I remembered how much I used to enjoy running today... Felt a little froggy putting the uniform on and heading into work! Keep up the hard work everyone!
