  1. I'm not ever one to give marriage advice, as I have been married myself for only 2 years but I can't imagine how that much feel. At a different time this may not have been such a big deal, but times are hard and now is not the time to be hoping from one job to another whenever you don't like how someone looks at you. Now, I say that with caution because I don't know WHY he wants to leave his job because you didn't say but maybe you could ask him this - If this is really his 6th or 7th job he has left in the past year or so I think he needs to get real about what his expectations are because in THAT many situations HE is the common factor. Most people in their life experience a terrible job or two, and most people even get fired at least once, but it sounds like he may be taking this too the extreme. Maybe he hates the field he is in?
  2. Probably should not drive until you get this business straightened out so you don't hurt yourself and/or others. That sucks that it happened, hopefully you didn't hit your head
  3. I would imagine that would be ok. Just avoid the noodle if thay bothers you but honestly those are so mushy I could hardly see it posing any real problem.
  4. I never ate pickels before surgery but I have them in the fridge now. Funny how that works.
  5. Title says it all. food has lost its stronghold on me. I found myself feeling a bit depressed while hovering over my fifth of a chipotle burrito bowl not knowing why when it hit me - I was not nearly as happy to be eating that as I used too. Food has lost its shine. I dont have anything to ask, I just thought I would share. I suppose its a good thing I am working and have somewhere else to put my focus because a few weeks ago I think this could have thrown me into a major depression.
  6. I think they are fine, but I am not a hardcore low-carber either. I try to keep that number down but frankly, sometimes you NEED them. I maybe wouldn't have them every single day but once in a while is fine.
  7. I think that we bigger ladies take longer to get out of those big sizes. PLus size clothes are usually strechy and all that good stuff so they will take you through a lot of sizes
  8. at about two and a half weeks out I stopped losing weight for nearly three weeks no matter what I did. It was very frustrating. It passed and I'm fine now, but it SUUUUUCKED while I was going through it.
  9. So, this is not me trying to be confrontational but this "toxins" nonsense makes me cringe and it gets repeated so often that people just accept that it's a real thing. No one is walking around with a buildup of toxins in their body unless they are experiencing multisystem organ failure. You just don't have magical toxins floating around your body waiting to be snatched up by wraps, diet pills, magical drinks and the list goes on and on. Nearly all medical people who are not getting paid to promote a topic laugh at those types of claims. It's just the latest thing to separate you from your money. There are only a few exceptions to this, such as lead and other trace minerals that can build up to a toxic level despite normal kidney and liver function, but if you have that going on, you have got WAY bigger problems than will ever be solved with some kind of wrap promising to help you avoid a tummy tuck even though you lost 200+ pounds or whatever, you know what I'm saying? People who say they use these and do not having sagging skin after radical weight loss probably would not have had sagging skin anyway. The only two factors that matter in terms of skin sagging is genetics (meaning you are either pre-disposed to have good skin snap-back anyway) AND/OR muscle mass. Even muscle mass wont matter that much if you lose more than about 100 pounds or so.
  10. Have you checked your car and your place of business?
  11. Thanks dude. I am feeling marginally better already. I woke up at like 9:30 (I'm a night shift type of person) and it kind of shocked me how bad it was. I felt a little sick when I went to bed but i woke up like I had been thrown out of a car and hit by a train.
  12. I had some at about a 4 weeks out, i cant have a lot but it went down fine.
  13. I change of clothes, my phone, my charger, and tampons because of course, I HAD to get my period that morning. I took a few other things but used none of them. I got a shower and cleaned up once I got home.
  14. Thanks. I just drug my aching body out of the shower and that helped a lot. I have one of those facial steamers that boils water into a little thing that you hold your head over - its to clear out your pores but I think I might use that to just breath in the steam while I am setting up at the computer. I can't stand to lay down anymore.
  15. whoa thats crazy. How often do you weigh? I ask because some scales have a memory function built in so if i change is only very incremental it will just register the same weight as last time even though its not exactly the same, so then the person weighing never sees a change until the drop is dramatic. Certain digital scales are notorious for that. I have no idea what you've got or even if it was a digital scale but you might google the make and model of yours and see if thats whats happening. You could have had a huge shift though. That happened to be on my 10 day preop diet. I didn't really lose anything significant for the whole first half of it and then all of a sudden in the last 3 days I dropped an entire 20ish pounds.
  16. I seemed to have picked up a cold from work. Lovely. I tried to take some dayquil but my stomach flat out rejected it. It's the first time since surgery 47 days ago that I have had something come back up on me. The cough and drippy nose I can deal with but I am having some pretty uncomfortable chest pains along with it all. I can breath alright and I don't feel like I need medical attention but I am curious to see if anyone has any good home remedies for this type of thing? I'm not usually into stuff like that but OTC medication is not agreeing with me and I am uncomfortable to the point of desperation. I am making some tea as I type this so maybe that will help.
  17. I remember feeling that way. As long as you don't eat something crazy WAY too soon you are going to be set and well on your way to a new lifestyle I'm not even so sure that most leaks happen as any sort of direct result of what people do. If you are worried about something in particular re-read your guidelines but other than that just try to relax, you are already off to a fantastic start.

I had a three inch veggy delight on flatbread two days ago. I didn't really finish even that small of an amount and I didn't have protein with it so it was kinda bad but dang it was good. I'm 47 days post op
  19. Heh, sounds like he doesnt understand what NO SUGAR means. I don't know if your husband has a weight problem or not but I find that my husband doesn't understand some of my rules and doesnt always "get it" because he was never as heavy as I was. Maybe you could take him with you to your nut appointments?
  20. In my opinion you should be reading EVERYTHING. I don't typically read by subtopic it's posted under, I just typically go to the "Forums" drop down menu and select "Recent Topics" to see everything thats new. You want to be aquanted with all aspects of what could happen to you. It's scary but its my opinion that we should be prepared (within reason) to handle all that and to risk that before we go into this surgery. I think that the vast majority of people here don't have any serious complaints but its important to know about common issues.
  21. You might like http://www.reddit.com/r/Coffee/ a forum all about that magical beverage. I'm obsessed.
  22. I very nearly got a tattoo prior to my surgery but held off. Our skin migrates as we lose weight and you just don't know where/how it will end up looking. I think its best to wait.
  23. You don't HAVE to do anything but there are obviously pros and cons to each choice we make. I choose not to have coke. Those are calories I'd rather have for something else and the carbonation KILLS ME.
