Your not the only one i've heard say this. I'm trying to watch what i say. i've learned that even if people ask how much i've lost most really don't care or are jealous

Hello i'm post op 25 i've moved on to phase 2. so ready for phase 3 and 4 but anyway i'm wondering when i can have scrabbled eges and just a fried on?
-
ya i think cause people see I'm from the south they assume i'm using lard or oil. I've been saying fry since i was a toddler i use a little spray or i can't believe it's not butter and my trusty non stick pan and because i haven't had eggs in so long it taste pretty darn good

it took me 3 yrs to talk my husband in to it but when i finally convinced him that it was this or i would eventually die from obesity related problems he couldn't argue. my other family has been supportive now i wish i hadn't opened my mouth to my co workers but that's another story.

i've never poached an egg so of course i you tubed it and yuck i hate runny yolk so i'll pass that up but i use icbinb and a non stick pan so i'll tab that in the pan tomorrow and cook (my way of frying) it solid.

Yes i heard that and i no i'll never have a carbonated anything ever again which is fine. i was told by my doc i could flatten one if i really wanted it but ya don't want it that bad. yuck

I'm day 16 post op and i've been doing really great so far. Yesterday had a major bout with nausea i think due to constipation (tmi?lol) but today man oh man i've been craving a diet dr pepper so bad!! I can't wait until the day i'm able to drink just a sip of one but i'm trying not to focus on what i'm missing instead of what i'm gaining by losing this weight!

I forget that "fry" is different for everyone. My definition is a little spray or low calorie fake butter. I did try scrambled today with a piece of 100% whole wheat toast and although my post op papers said i could do toast today i really could have passed that up! Eggs went in good toast not so good.

My doctor also required a family member to be at my appointment and i had to have my husbands consent before surgery

FMLA/time off question
abridgie replied to blessedbeauty85's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was given 4-6 weeks off because i'm in the job field where i could possible be hit and he was worried about getting hit in the stomach but honestly i was ready to go back to work by the second week -
awesome thing about all these vitamins is i can finally grow nails!! i've never been able to do that in my life. i'm loving this
-
Best of luck!!! Plus you are extremely lucky for no drainage tube!! that hurt like crazy. made my chest hurt when i walked then removing it was extremely painful but i would gladly do it all over again
-
I thought i wouldn't be able to swallow pills but one of the vitamins that was prescribed to me is like a typical pill size and the first few days it hurt to swallow with only an oz of water but now it's fine (day 15) I use to pop ibuprofen like crazy because of being over weight my feet hurt but my doc said no more but honestly i'm walking 40 min's a day like i was told to do and my feet really don't hurt anymore. Good luck!!

When is the right time to try?
abridgie replied to KarissaKhaos's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Mine said 2 yrs. i actually had to sign a paper saying we would not try to get pregnant for two years but that's no worries to me as i've had 2 and my husband is fixed. -
my surgeon told me never. He said it passes straight through the stomach and to the liver without being dilated. now i don't know how true that is but yellow isn't a good skin color for me so i'll take his word and keep my liver healthy

I know all about the money! i'm lucky enough that i only had to put down $2500 and my parents paid that and i get to make payments to them. it's hard with a family of four on one income but it's well worth it. Good luck
