popcorn.

hey guys. If you're in the New York area August 1st and 2nd there is a 2 day WLS event. The first is a meet and greet the second is a Brooklyn Bridge walk followed by a pot luck picnic. Details are in the flyer. RSVP @ weightlossneetupnyc@gmail.com P.S. I'm still eating popcorn. And I haven't gained anything back. Lol

Still skinny.

it didn't take long to tack on the muscle I feel like it was underneath the fat all along. But I'm as big as I want to get just working out to maintain that's all. Thanks everyone for the love and good luck on you weight loss journey. Can't wait to see your pictures. Let's motivate each other.
7. What's up you guys I will be 2 years post op in February and being sleeved is great. My sleeve has never given me any problems. Though I can eat more now than I could 6 months after surgery (which is normal) I still can't eat a full or regular size plate of anything. Everything is holding up. My confidence has been at an all time high. One thing they really don't prepare you for is during your pre op testing and therapy is how to deal with all the new attention you get. Whether good or bad depending on how you handle this it can and will be sometimes overwhelming. That may be the only not so good thing though. Other than that the skinny life is great. One more thing? When weighing yourself after surgery should we minus about 7 to 5 pounds for loose skin? Sounds silly I know but what do you guys think? 307 1st weigh in 287 day of surgery 177 last year 181 now. I put on some muscle ????

1 year today.....

About 3 months after I started hitting the gym doing cardio. 3 months after that I really got into lifting. Don't rush it. I still do cardio but not so much. I actually felt like I was losing too much weight. I'd do 45 minutes of running and would burn up to 800 calories at one time. Now it's 20 minutes running (2 miles) and then in to the weights. Set yourself a goal. Try to figure out how you wanna look. Go for it. After a while it doesn't even seem like something you have to do its fun working out seeing the change and when other people notice it's great. I wanted to look good in a tank top this summer. I have accomplished that goal by far. Good luck homie
11. I'm very interested in becoming leader or helping to get the New York chapter up and running. I'm a year post op and have helped 2 people like myself prepare for gastric sleeve surgery. I wanna help more people in every way possible achieve weight loss success like I have. It is truly a life changing event. I'm currently a student I'm music engineering school. My weekends and some evenings after 5:30 are free
12. What's up guys. Today makes one year post op. I've lost a total of 137 pounds and I still think getting sleeved was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Alot has changed in this year. I'm in a new relationship I will start music Engineering School in April and I've lost my job of 9 years. All these are good things though even being fired from my job. I can't complain it was good to me for 9 years and it helped me get the Surgery so it was well worth it. I love my new life. I work out 3 to 4 times a week. My weight is between 170 to 175. I'm lifting weights and running mainly. I eat healthy for the most part but I still indulge every once in a while (mostly popcorn....inny). One of the best things about being sleeved is being inspirations for so many people around me. I know 2 people who have watched my progress and who have also gotten sleeved. I'm gonna keep up the good fight. See you on the losers bench.
13. Peace out!!! Have fun. Look but don't touch all the wonderful looking food at the reception. Grab a friend and have them eat all the things you can't and have them tell u how it taste. That's what I do. Lol
