  1. What a journey you have had. Im so sorry for what you have had to deal with. You are an inspiration to me, because of everything you have been through, and you still stayed strong. I lost my neice the night before I had my surgery due to a murder sucide. They did not tell me until about 3 days after the surgery. Im ok now, I am learning a new way to deal with the stress and pain that life brings. I wish you continued sucess on your journey. Great job.
  2. Welcome to our forum. We are here if you have any questions. Congratulations on getting your surgery date set. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. :-)

I think there is a low sodium one. I use it when I make soups and mexican rice and anything that calls for tomato sauce. The reason I do is because thats the only way to get the families veggies in lol. They only eat corn or potatoes.

  6. Congratulations and welcome to the sleeve side. Great to hear everything went well for you. As for dry mouth get the nurse to bring you those (I cant think of the proper name lol) Q tip thingy that has like an oil on them. That may help a littlebit.
  7. Congrats on your new family member! What is his/her name? Very cute just like its owner :-)
  8. There is nothing wrong with you, you are human just like the rest of us. Head hunger is real it tries to get the best of us. You are only 5days out, even if you could eat you will probably taste it and realize that it is not what you really want. Make sure you are getting fluids in and your protein. It could also be stomache acid thats making you feel hungry. Are you on an acid reducer, if not talk to your dr about a prescription. Good luck we are here for you :-)
  9. Congratulations on your weightloss so far. You look amazing. I know exactly how you feel about seeing the woman that you once were. I keep telling myself that I am striping layers off of me everytime my weight goes down. We are all healthy people stuck in a fat suit and we finaly got the zipper oiled to take it off.
  10. I want for you to search leak symptoms and complications on this forum. The reason why is because your stomache is still swollen from the procedure. Keep an eye on your pain and fever. Take some gas x strips to help with the gas. Please dont take anything for granted when it comes to a leak. We are hear for you hunny. Ask any question we will answer. Also congratulations on being sleeved.
  11. Let your dr know what is going on. He can prescribe something for you. If not maybe get some anti nausea medicine from the pharmacy. Good luck let us know how you are doing. Oh yeah welcome to the sleeve side congratulations :-)
  12. First off Congratulations, welcome to the sleeve side. So good to here everything went well. As for mixing barium with kool aid I have no idea, I wish they would of mixed mine like that. The taste of that stuff is horrible lol. I was just thinking, do you have a drain? If you do maybe it to see if there is any leaks and if there was it would come out of the drain purple. Again congrats our new sleeve sister :-)
  13. Dont worry about it almost everyone of us goes through this. Im almost 3 months out and I deal with this also. It will get better, just remember your body is still in shock from the surgery and not much going in it. Please have patience it will get better.

  16. Congratulations, you look amazing.
  17. It will get better ya just have to take it one day at a time. I think we all get a little depressed through this whole ordeal, until maybe we reach our goals. I believe that is why this forum is here to help each other through this. Im not a doctor or anything but I am a pretty good listener if you want to talk.
  18. Hunny just try your best to get the fluid in, remember sip, sip, sip and as for the meds you are gonna have to break them or crush. The one that is time realed, Im not 100% sure but from my understanding your not subpose to take those, because they wont stay in the stomache long enough. Try propel water or gatorade. Dont worry about protein, dehydration needs to be your first concern. I sure hope you feel better soon. Welcome to the sleeve side.
  19. Congratulations. My prayers are with you. You will do great. God speed. Let us know how you are doing. Remember as soon as you can walk, that will help tremendously with the gas pains. Cant wait to hear from you on the sleeve side.
  20. The same usually goes for every VSG patient. 1st you have to get protein in. 2nd you need to get vegtables in 3rd you can have carbs if your not to full. You should get as much water as possible and take your vitamins, that is very important. You have a very low BMI so I think maybe that is why your weightloss might be slow. Good luck Feel free to ask any questions we are hear to help.
