When can I eat "real" food!?
Hang in there bigchange. Let your new stomache heal. Keep eating the foods you are suppose to eat right now and dont rush it. Some of the items you have mentioned that you want to eat will be really hard on your new stomache. You can do this, keep positive and these head hunger feelings will pass soon.

Just wondering if you have tried to go back to first phase of surgery eating. Try doing protein shakes 2times a day and then a sensible dinner. Always remember protein first then veggies and carbs. Eat like every 3 hours to stop the hunger. I know if you eat fiber to, it keeps you full longer. Good luck keep us up to date. Oh yeah drink lots of water to help flush out the fat and to keep you hydrated. One more thing lol, are you mistaken hunger for thirst? Try drinking fluids and then if you still feel hungry eat some protein. Hope I helped in someway if possible.- Use Your First Six Months Wisely

Aussie reading your story just broke my heart. I feel the same as most on here. What broke the camels back for me was realizing that I just didnt love myself anymore. I had given up on losing weight and on life really. One day I woke up and remembered that my family loves and needs me nomatter what I weigh. I knew it was time to really do something about it. So that someday I will be here for when I have grand children and when 2 of my children get married. Also for my husband, I promised him we would grow old together.- Had. 4 saltines...ugh

While your in the hospital is when your worst pain will be. Everyday that goes by it gets way better. The most important thing to do is walk as soon as you can. And when you get to drink make sure to sip sip sip sip and sip some more. I would say in all from worst pain to no pain at all was about a week.- Tomorrow is the DAY!

Dont be ashamed of this. I have had to go to 1or 2 also before. Times are hard. You can either pay your bills or eat. I will pray for you and your family. I wish I was more financaly able so I could send you some money for food. It hurts me to see anyone go hungry and without. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep me up todate how everything is going.- Kind of envying some people who don't have to do a liquid pre-op
Just take this time as having to lose less weight after you have the surgery. I think alot of people cheat a little bit on their pre op diet. Dont do it to much, you do need your liver to shrink so the dr can work easier during your surgery. When I first started reading on this forum, I read about a woman who cheated on her pre op and that her liver had broke into. So please keep that in mind and stay as close as you can to your dr instructions. Good luck and keep us informed of how your surgery goes. - Amytugs sleevy thread! Leavin 3/1!
