  1. I'm 5 months out also but I don't think a 6 inch sub is something I could eat. I can however eat more lately than before. I had (almost) a whole fish taco yesterday with two chips, definitely more than I have been able to eat in the past and the other day I ate almost a whole half of a wrap. I still don't eat real bread through...just flat breads/tortillas and such. Laura is right, this is when our real work begins! This is when we need to make smart decisions, even when our body allows us to make poor ones! ;-)

  2. Heyher you prob dont know this cuz your prob old but enuff is how you spell when you want to shorten the post. Speaking of short' date=' your life compared to mine because Ive never smoked. You are prob one of those militant smokers too. Do you realize how bad you smell to others?[/quote']

Wow, no need to be so nasty and enuff is only one letter away from enough so you might as well just look smarter and not try to shorten things up!

  3. That is awesome!!! I was sleeved on 12-5 and only down 53 pounds. I know everyone loses differently but I would love to know what you have been doing and what your average food day is like!!!!

I have been really lucky to lose so much, I don't eat a lot of variety though. I usually eat taco cupcakes or one kind of like manicotti for at least one meal a day. I eat at least one Protein bar a day sometimes a baby bel or two and a handful of nuts I also get almond crackers and the laughing cow wedges too. I also sometimes have grilled chicken or steak for dinner with a few veggies. I occasionally have some frozen greek yogurt too. Not much variety but it works for me right now. ;-)

  5. Check out the muffin tin meal recipes. emilybites.com and thworldaccordingtoeggface.com I have gotten several ideas from them and I will make a batch or two a week. I love bringing them to work or eating at home...the portions are great! I make a manicotti-like one, a taco one, and also did meatloaf (not my fave). I have also tried some dessert ones too! ;-) Anyway, I absolutely love these and it's nice to eat something real just small!

  6. Hi mysleeveforlife' date=' I was just wondering what all the prescriptions he prescribed were? My surgery is on 05/06 and as far as I know, my dr. only prescribed loratab (sp) and a PPI. thanks for the info.[/quote']

I know you didn't ask me but my doc also gave me anti-nausea med, an anti-anxiety med and another med to help woth spasms. They just make sure you have everything just in case which was really nice to already have them. ;-)

  7. I would have changed my surgeon to someone that was more personable & informative. He also prescribed me meds to get filled after leaving the hospital that I could not afford WITH GOOD INSURANCE & when I called him he couldn't have cared less. He commented that "Well' date=' some people don't even have insurance & have to pay for it. There is a reason why we prescribe things. You were supposed to pick up everything. I don't prescribe anything else (as a substitution)." So, then I called my PCP & she called in everything I needed. It all cost me less than 50. She is awesome. He performed the surgery well, but as far as "bedside manners", not so great in that area. He also was not thorough with most of the instructions that he gave. He always seems rushed.[/quote']

You can definitely find better doc's to work with! My doc office actually prescribed everything a few weeks early in case insurance didn't cover or something was too expensive and so I would have everything at home and ready for me when i got home after surgery. ;-)
