The got in a 6 year relationship and can't to find out he was flirting and meeting girls on fb. I just made a vow to God to remain pure until marriage .
I had to repent because I know that at those trying times it's nothing but temptation! I thank you so much,because its hard when you trying towall in purity and the world and advertising say GO.

My doc warned me, but its different to be warned then to actually go through it....I haven't had sex in 2 years (a refuse to use the word celibate, hate it) I just have been focused on my research...
I'm 7 months post op, and 2 weeks ago its like I've been hit with the "horny bug" I want sex....problem, I'm single...but I want sex, so I dont like being single right now...
The only thing that has kept me sane right now are my toys....thank goodness for them....but I want a man! LOL

I was married too, and sex was safe even if i got pregnant. My ex was also disease free. Im also semi religious. So yes sex is great but for those of us who are single, and for me, there are too many risks to casual sex. HIV, herpes, unwanted pregnancy....etc. so as much as i need and want it, the risks always keep me from doing so. I said in previous post i was on the verge but i know myself, i will chicken out.

When i am remarried and sexually active i will also think before i reply to a thread like this with an unintelligent response...just sayin.

I have been celibate for 18 months. I am going through the same thing, all though masturbation helps, but not much at all. Just a release. I am also terrified of getting pregnant and stds! Glad there is someone else like me. I am on the verge though, I will take BC, plan b and make him use a condom if I take the plunge

Was looking through and had a question. Is testosterone stored on men's fat cells as well? It would explain why I always want to have sex lol. Sometimes I think I drive my boyfriend crazy Ha!

You are still healing and may still be swollen. You really need to try and get fluids and Proteins in. Have you tried any Protein Shakes? Can you keep Soup down? They have some Protein. Diet iced tea was on my list of ok things to drink from my doc but lacks protein. Hang in there and try to sip, sip, sip.

50/50 Water juice blend, Decaf tea, crystal light is way better, low fat milk, yogurt. Try mixing Protein Powder any way you can and which is tolerable to you. Good luck. Im two weeks out and I found Vitamin Shoppe to be of great help.

How far out are you? Not tolerating Water initially is normal. Too much tea can inhibit Iron absorption tho. Could u do mio or crystal light? Could u put beneprotein or some other type in your purée or even your drinks iif u need more Protein?

I love God and I love to pray! We all have made a life changing decision to improve our quality and quantity of life. It took a lot of faith to get to this point. Let's lift up each other daily in prayer. Unity in prayer causes miracles.

The best advice I can give is find a surgeon that your happy with (read trust) and take their advice.
I met with 3 surgeons before I went ahead. I would follow what ever advice my guy gave.

I've seen people on this site that had the sleeve and had the hernia repaired at the same time. In fact there is a youtube video on that. I have acid reflux, but i'm not letting that stop me. Plus my surgeon says I can continue taking omeprazole, or if that doesn't work anymore I could try something else.

Everyone is so different, my doctor didn't give me any weight requirements. I'm on a liquid diet for 3 days. I've been eating whatever I want and having a few food funerals. It depends on your surgeon I guess.

My surgery is December 20th as well! I'm having mine at St. Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village, IL. Excited and scared as hell! I'm down 16.5 pounds as of this morning. Not doing too well with the bariatric drinks - Okay, they SUCK! I hate them! Basically living off Jello, popsicles and broth. Promised my doc I'd try to get in at least two shakes a day.

Just wanted to share some pics, cuz we all love it when others share pics! . This is my first time sharing photos, aside from my avatar. I'm 9 months out of surgery as of yesterday, and initially, I was having my hubby take pictures every month. I kinda fell off over the summer, but finally remembered to have him snap a few this morning. I cried a little when I put the 'before' and 'after' side by side. I was self pay, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Rejoicing over here!! Woot!

I'm due to arrive at the hospital at 5:30am, with surgery around 7:30-8am.
I'm ready to get this over with, but really starting to get nervous about complications during surgery. I'm only 34 and have two young kids and a husband that I love dearly. I'm not ready to leave them. I know this is not likely to happen, but it's something I can't help but worry about.
I'm ready for the lifestyle change, the new relationship with food, getting recommitted to exercise, and losing all of this weight. I'm ready to get me back.
Trying to tie up loose ends with work and all of my other obligations tonight. This weekend screamed by. I can't believe it's my turn to post that it's the night before my surgery. I'm not sure how I'm going to sleep tonight, but I'll try.
