  1. Hi Brenda and welcome. HP, yes I bought a crossover Byke. It's a Specialized Sirrus Comp.
  2. B, I hope everything is OK.
  3. Third Wheel= Catrike 700 Catrike Performance Trikes :-) JC
  4. J, I have clipless pedals and have not fallen yet....... I think it may have something to do with the third wheel and not my great sense of balance though. JC
  5. B, I turned my new phone into a Bluetooth gateway to the internet, then connected a MacBook and a Clone Laptop. That Mac smoked the clone on the dslreports speed tests. It wasn't even close. I know I am not telling you anything you don't know, but you should have seen the rest of the I.T. group's reaction! Just thought I would share. JC
  6. I hope you're OK seems like we have a crash competition going on. I may have to break out that long chained bikeE that I get my leg caught up in and join the fun!
  7. Thanks J! I am counting down to Friday.
  8. I am in Florida, born and raised here, which makes me a rare individual and a cracker. I do feel right at home in Texas though, I started to move to the San Antoino area about three years ago. Yes HP, as soon as summer starts kicking in and things slow down I will be doing rides all over the place. JC
  9. Thanks, I am digging this phone. I bought the previous model last year to help me get through trying to ride the Underground Railroad Bike trail. I was going to take a few weeks off, ride as far as I could, hammock tent camping alog the way. Then grab a rental car early enough to meet some of our Bycylers in Michigan to do a ride. Holy cow did that plan go up in smoke. I have put my GF on notice that when I feel well enough I plan on trying that feat again. The added feature of gps means one less gadget to juggle on the trip.
  10. Thanks HP, judging by your recent pics, I think you faired better than you are giving yourself credit for!
  11. Thank you for the encouragement Stef. and I will always take all the prayers I can get. On a brighter note we haven't had one of these in a while...... That's right! a new TOY alert!!!! Where do I begin???? How bout a new Tilt smart phone with GPS for starters. Followed by a new Camelback for proper Hydration and last but not least a travel trailer, I plan on doing some mountain biking this summer and I am bringing a house with me!!!!!
  12. Wow! I have been trying for 2 days to catch-up where I left off. Seems all of you have stepped up the chatter a few notches!!! I have been a mental wreck latley more so than usual. I have endured months of no fill, some fill, no fill, some fill, hospital, no fill, no fill, some fill, hospital and finally revision surgery and no fill. I have kept from gaining weight until the last month. I had to go buy some new fat clothes, as I am really packing it on right now and can't seem to slow it down. I feel there is hope, I will see my Dr. next Friday and try to get a good fill. I haven't posted much because I don't like to bring negativity to such a committed and successfull group. I hope you are all well. Now on to what has inspired me to post. Juli, your updated photos, WOW, I am kinda welling up with tears as I wriite this, but, WOW, you have not changed yourself since the Indiana ride. The more fitting word is TRANSFORMED! You should be so proud of yourself! Seriously, you are a new you, and I am damn proud to know you! Take Everyone, JnofreakinfillweightgaininassC
  13. I saw a Donkey painted like a Zebra in Tijuana. Its name was Bimbo, HMMMmm!
  14. I hear ya about wishing for 36! It was near freezing again this morning, but they are predicting a warming trend through the weekend.
  15. Hi everyone, I finally have a little time to give an update. School has been a nightmare. We were assigned a project dealing with environmental issues. This is an online class and my team members were dropping like flies. I think I wrote seventy percent of the paper. A small price to pay for assisting in solving one of the world's problems though. LOL As for excercise, I got my ass moving last night. Walked a couple miles, then pounded out 10 miles in 32 minutes on the stationary bike. I know it isn't much, but I have to pace myself. It was my first day back, I will do better today. Daddy, someone down here in Florida must have been given a heads-up that you were headed this way, 36 degrees this morning! WTF!!! BRRRRR! JC
  16. Good God Poeple!!! You are all wound up so bad that you don't even realize how the Term "Head Hungry" sounds! Makes me feel all funny inside! My 2 cents for the day! Sorry I missed the fun. JC
  17. HI everyone, HP glad you are still hanging in there. J, Way To Go!!! I new you could and would do it!! You are a total inspiration. BG, I think you must be from Southern Mi. with that recipe involving "taters" lol I have been up to my eyeballs in work trying to catch-up from such a long absence. I think I am starting to get caught-up finally. JC
  18. I like it better when some else TOOTS my horn! (I'm just sayin)
  19. W, that is some big time running! Congrats. Thanks for the Ju Ju J. It worked! Doc says everthing looks great and I will be back in 4 little freaking weeks for a fill. I hope this means I am off the rollercoaster for a while. I can't wait to hit my goal. I am so glad that I have been able to stay within striking distance for this long without much help. JC
  20. So, tomorrow is a big day for me and I can't sleep. I go in for my follow-up appointment. I will know how lonhg Doc wants me to wait before refilling my band. I sure hope it is closer to 6 weeks than a year. JC
  21. Dang BG! You are freaking melting away! Those are some great Bicyling Covers you all are finding. I also want to say hi to W, I was catching up on some of the older posts and noticed you in there quite a bit. I can't remember if we have ever conversed. Hi also to TracyinKS. That name is too long, J, how bout a little help here.
  22. Happy Bandiversary BG!!!! You Rock Girl!!!! JC
  23. I needed that. It is just too funny. The timing was too good.
  24. I had to share this with you guys. It is clearly spelled Bicyling! I think we started a trend. LOL
