  2. Mine is the same story has yours & I want the notices :0) But I can get none . I have even tried different settings on the profile sections just to see if it would help but it didn't. I hope it changes back.
  3. Happy Day For You Zoe !!!!!!!!
  4. Well HOT DAMN Girl!!! Super Dooper!!! You & I are on that same track- I didn't go nearly as far as you with the jogging/running - but I have been trying to jog a little inbetween each 2 blocks & speed walk the rest! Well done- looks like I better get a move on before we check in with one another this Monday! Way To Go Tricia!!!!
  5. First - I what an amazing accomplishment you have done Alex & to think you only had less than 1cc! HOLY COW!!!! I am so blown away at that! You are getting special prayers starting tonight just for you. I have a feeling deep inside, that all will be fine on the 8th! I won't have computer access so we will all have to check w/Lisa in Vegas to hear your good news that everything is as it should be & you even got a little fill. :0) Please take it easy until then & really be good to your throat! Very smart move Alex-well done!
  6. GOOD FOR YOU GIRL!!! You right 30 pds is WONDERFUL. Just remember really eat slow & for a purpose.
  7. L*O*V*E In its Truest form!!! Good for both of you, Especially DEBBIE Hitting Her Goal. AMAZING JOB!!!!!!!
  8. me too- I wish it would change back- I liked remembering which ones I posted in.
  9. Delarla- Which location is it at for Buca??? I'll definetly be there & would assume Vines will be with me also:0) Can't wait to see everyone.
  10. nope I have never heard of it & to top it of cc ususal refers to the amount of saline NOT The size of the band. CM is typically refering to the size of the band. Looks like a mis-communication to me. I would talk with them again. Congrats on the feeling full part- its wonderful isn't it? :0)
  11. Sounds like a possible leak. Definetly time for a talk with your Doc.
  12. Alex- Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling so hot lately. Good luck with your unfill & i hope you begin to feel better instantly!!! Paula- good to see you around again:0)
  13. In my 2 years of research I have never heard of this. Why not ask Dr.Pleatman. He is on this board and would be a good source of information & a medical opinion.
  14. I couldn't wear my bras(which are underwire also) for 6 weeks after surgery. My port is just above my belly button & only slightly to the right hand side. My bra sits about 4"s above it- No problems at all:0)
  15. Kathy- That so weird- I am the EXACT opposite. I just got my period & ate all day long yesterday-PLUS a major helping of coldstone icecream. I just couldn't get full to save my life for 2 full days. Protein first or not. Isn't that strange- I thought how can I not get full? Normally I am very resticted. I am feeling better today & a little more back to normal. Sheri- I would go by the scale- Are you losing 2 pounds per week about?? If so than don't go for the fill - If your not losing weight & following the rules all the time - go get a fill. Thats what I would do. Good Luck
  16. There is NO MALABSORBTION (spelling?) With the band. Unlike RNY. So as long as you are eating a well rounded diet there should be no need to worry about a lack of vitamins. That being said I was told even before I was banded to always have one multi-vitamin per day. And I do. We typically DO NOT eat a well rounded diet & thus a supplement is needed.
  17. Wow- A tuff ??. Well I would say to just say the "surgery " line as well BUT IF HE PUSHES YOU - & you cave under in pressure (like I do ) I always feel like telling the truth even when I should keep my mouth shut. Tell him like this - knowing his background like you said- tell him-"you've decided to take charge of your life & your health & are making a positive move in the right direction." If he questions it say- thank you for your concern but this is my decision & mine alone! But I highly doubt he would question you after saying it that way. Either decision you decide to take will be the right one. But I like you would feel like telling him- I am so glad I wasn't working when I had it done- I would have told my boss- & who knows if that would have been good or bad ;0)
  18. Omg Only 2 1/2 Weeks Left 4 Vegas Baby Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Amber- I am going to try the meatball receipe soon. Can you give me a comparison for the size of a med meatball. Like is it a golfball or egg size or bigger? Kelly- Can you list the chili one please. I am a horrible cook so please talk baby talk so I won't mess it up. Everyone says you can't -BUT trust me if there is a way I'll find it. I actually do have a crock pot- don't know how I got one but I have one-LOL LOL I think my X used it one or twice- he was more the cook. I appreciate any help at all.
  20. If you do a search in the upper right hand corner on slippage you'll find loads of info- Hope it helps
  21. THese past 3 days I had two major get togethers. There were brownies-cookies & ckaes- OH MY! Yes I did - I ate both times. The scale blessed me with only going up a apound- but I think it was the fact that it would have gone down instead. So I count it as a 2 pound gain. I was doing really well- but was having so much fun too. I went & bought new running shoes yesterday & today will be back on track ;0) literally. I have been trying to really add in exercise even though I don't enjoy it. I really don't-lol :0)
  22. LOL_ Sounds like a Victory to me Girlie!!!:0) Way to go !!!! SOmetime in late October we have to plan our get together with Lisa! TC
  23. Never Ever go below 800 Cal a day- I just met with my nutricianist & she said that can put you into a starving mode & you on't lose. 1000 cal a day is fine -she said at least for me she did. I am 229 right now & she said I can continue to do 1000 for awhile to try & lose. Speed up the exercise if you can & stick with it. I had a platue that lasted 6 weeks with just one fill. Up & down the same 3 pound went week after week. Since my second fill I am eating less & the scale is moving but still slow. Keep up the water- It will move eventually-Chin Up! :0)
  24. AS far as I know you perfectly fine & within a few more weeks you should start to even out. Its normal for your body to go through changes when coming off of certain meds & regiments. The best thing is to talk with your Doc- But I say your just fine:0)
  25. I agree- I had a 6 week plateau & only one fill. than I got my second fill & started walking 4+ miles 4xs a week. Well I just bet the next time I weigh myself I will be down at least 2 more pounds & last week I was down 3. Its funny I did think for a very brief time pre-band that this band would kinda be a little "magic Tool"that did everything for me but really I understand its no "magic" its me doing all the same stuff I needed but didn't do before. Exercise & eating smaller better portions. The only thing the band did was give me the chance to succeed by limiting my intake! I thank God for that! I am 11 weeks out & down 23 pounds! 7 were pre-op 16 post-op .
